zano Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Hey, Any one have or know where I can get the proper Layouts of Both mummy coasters, I have two of them already but I don't know if they are both correct, but I think the USO one is cause it looks like its straight from premier (the USH layout pic doesn't look right after the launch, It looks like it has some giant hill the the over banked turn) This one doesn't look right?
Jew Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 The USH one is as accurate as a drawing like that could be. The launch does go up a small hill. The only thing that is wrong with it is that the backwards drop goes straight down...it doesn't do that L thing. But I'm guessing it is drawn that way to make it clear that it leaves in another direction.
knottslover77 Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Wow! This are great! They both look like the basic layout is correct. --Jay
FLIPDUDE Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 I do not remember there being an airitme hill before the overbank either
Jew Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 ^Just to refresh your memory from two posts above yours: The USH one is as accurate as a drawing like that could be. The launch does go up a small hill. But I'm guessing it is drawn that way to make it clear that it leaves in another direction.
JT3000 Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 The dark ride section of the FL layout looks about right. Not sure about the coaster section. It's missing the drop after the launch hill.
ETapley0687 Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Wow! Thanks for posting this! I've always wanted to see the layout of both of these. I've rode USO but I was no where close to what I thought the correct layout of it was lol. USH looks like it might be a little better than USO.
coasterfreak101 Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 ^^It's got it in there. Right over the crest the train banks to the right and heads down that turn, both on the ride and in the picture. I've always wanted to see excatly what goes on in there. I could get an idea, but seeing the actual layout is great!
downunder Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Very interesting, having been on both of them I was certainly curious about the layouts.
OldJJman Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 USH looks like it might be a little better than USO. With no offense to Joey, NOTHING could be farther from the truth! Florida's version is FAR superior, starting with the fact that they had a much larger building to work with. JJ
ECZenith Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I definately prefer Orlando's Mummy to the Hollywood version, it's much longer and seems to have better effects, like the fake exit platform and the flaming ceiling.
knottslover77 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 It's the same as TOT, I love both of them, but Florida is better. --Jay
ebl Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Florida's Mummy > California's Mummy. Florida's ToT > California's ToT. So there you have it from a kindly, older gentleman who has ridden all of the above. Eric
ETapley0687 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 lol judging from the past few comments I guess I should be happy that USO is the only one I rode lol.
Alpenguy Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I like Florida's more just because of the "PREPARE TO FORFEIT YOUR SOULS!" moment. Best unload spiel ever. Are there block brakes in the gravity part of Hollywood, or just at the reverse and the finale? (Well, along with the actual switches themselves.)
JT3000 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 ^^It's got it in there. Right over the crest the train banks to the right and heads down that turn, both on the ride and in the picture. I don't see a drop. The entire turn is flat in that picture.
coasterdude5 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I had seen the first one, and there was another one that looked similar to it that was Florida's layout, but the second one seems more accurate.
coasterfreak101 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 ^^It's got it in there. Right over the crest the train banks to the right and heads down that turn, both on the ride and in the picture. I don't see a drop. The entire turn is flat in that picture. It's definately angled downwards. Not as steep as it seems on the ride, but it's not flat.
jarmor Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Im curious as to know how the transfer mechanism works, step by step. Does anyone know?
Gnome Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 USH looks like it might be a little better than USO. With no offense to Joey, NOTHING could be farther from the truth! Florida's version is FAR superior, starting with the fact that they had a much larger building to work with. JJ I would not say FAR superior, just superior. If USH's wasn't so anti-climactic i would definately say they're both on par with each other.
