TheKid Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 As I start to filter through all my 2004 coaster video footage to create the year-end video I am at a loss for songs to throw into the mix of all these great shots. Does anyone have any good ideas for some great songs to make my 2004 video complete?
josephwanek Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I've always liked that bubbley Aqua sounding pop stuff. Like that Tarzan and Jane song for the TPR Cedar Point video. Can't go wrong with fast peppy music!
GAcoaster Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 "Candy in the Sun" by Swirl 360. Really fun, upbeat song. It was on the soundtrack to Never Been Kissed. 'Cause I know a place where the sun is always shinin'
BurritoKing99 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I'm a hip hop head so most of my songs are hip hop. For 1 of my disneyland videos i used What's Golden by Jurassic 5, I think that oneworked the best. For my other DL one, i used "gasolina" by Daddy Yankee, that also worked nicely.
socalMAN123 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 For my video I used "American Idiot" by Green Day. Works perfectly with my SoCal coaster footage.
memphish Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Use some Flaming Lips. A song I recently heard that would work well is Galvanize by the Chemical Brothers, off of Push the Button.
coasters 4 me Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 DJ Tiesto has good music, it goes good with coaster video's!
Martyn Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 ^Nice choice! I think the cool thing about making your own coaster videos is that you can use whatever music YOU want. I tend to always use trance music, as it's my favourite genre.
Krazykral10 Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Any of the Toy-Box Songs they're from Japan but Robb uses them alot they are pretty funny.
FlyingScooter Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 If the footage is for a Vekoma or Arrow: I'd go with punk rock groups (Dead Kennedy's. Sex Pistols. Anything fast and loud.)
Jordan Shankman Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 You should make a music video of some Vekoma coaster with the song im gonna knock you out!
Stitch Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 I would use pop music for a video that presents a happy feel and heavy metal for videos that show the raw power and energy of coasters.
TheStig Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 A really good techno song that came with my computer is "My Personal Moon" by Madison Park....Its more like a rave type song, but has some techno in it. Its about 4.5 min long but its a goodie.... Colin C
the_rock401 Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 "Flying High Again" by Ozzy "Be My Lover" or "Sweet Dreams" by La Bouche "Runaway" by Real McCoy
Sir Clinksalot Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 I think the best coaster songs aren't necessarily your favorite songs. But just songs that fit well with the segment or the age group you are trying to appeal to. Some I have been thinking about: For a "Clones of Six Flags" segment: I think I'm a clone now - Weird Al For a "SFMM" segment: Highway to Hell - AC/DC (could work for a SFMM and Knott's segment)
Wes Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 "Heartbeat" Don Johnson "Don't Stop Believin'" Journey "Saturday In The Park" Chicago "Come Sail Away" Styx "When Doves Cry" Prince Seriously, if you do ANY of these, you will automatically have the best roller coaster segment ever made.

CoasterFanatic Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 I always seem to pick the weird ones. So far: Audioslave - Show me how to live Queens of the Stone Age - Song for the dead Andrew WK - Time to party Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stone cold bush Motley Crue - Livewire Manowar - Return of the warlord
Not For Sale Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 "Come Sail Away" Styx Try the cover of that by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. It's way more upbeat and just...better. -Bryan "It's still a good song though!" Stoll
frozenflames Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Definitely use some music that has a really fast beat, and flows well with the footage. I can't really think of any particular song, but a lot of songs by Toy-Box and Aqua work really well. And oh yeah, whoever up there said that Toy-Box was from Japan? Yeah, they're definitely not. They're Swedish. Randi "Swedish pop music is fun!" Bass
Jeezus Juice Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 So far I've used "Ghettoblaster" from the VoodooGlowSkulls and "In Da House" from the Kottonmouth Kings for my 2005 video. The season just started and already I have segments done for this year! Personally I try to stay away from the "radio songs" that other people use. How many people had "Perfect Day" in their vids last year? -Jeezus Juice, ahead of the game.
ChrisFL Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Although I don't make coaster videos, I always wanted to see Hulk at IOA set to the Reanimation remix of Linkin Park's "With You".
