Photo TR: Ghost Town in the Sky

Postby bgwfreak » Tue Sep 11, 2007 5:37 am

Yeah, so Sunday a bunch of us headed to Ghost Town for some ERT on the drop tower, whoring up the kiddie coaster...oh wait, I'm getting ahead of myself again.

For those that don't know, Ghost Town in the Sky is a small little park on the top of Buck Mountain in Maggie Valley, NC (about 30 minutes west of Asheville, NC and about 1.5 hours from Dollywood).

Here are 111 full res versions if you want to check them out: http://travel.webshots.com/album/560641 ... ost=travel

So here goes...

Since my brother lives in Asheville, I'll certainly make it up to G-TITS some day. It looks like it has the potential to be a really awesome park.

The classic!

It does look like a good park, different and unique. Thanks for the photos!

BTW It must have been interesting walking around Cliff hanger, I assume they haven't bothered to fence the ride off!

Well we were kinda in "restricted areas", but of course it was ok cause the park was in on it.

Some of the pics over at www.tommyandjames.net are hillarious...they got some of peeps sitting on the bottom of the loop (yeah, the loop!) More specifically... http://www.tommyandjames.net/g3073.html

Looks awesome!

Seriously one of the scariest I've been on.

Yeah, its size can be sorta deceiving, especially once you're at the top! I miss Rebellion...

Wes, great pics as always! For some reason I couldn't stop laughing at the Robo coaster caption. Did the park people say how likly it would be that Cliff Hanger would be open with the park at the start of next season, or is it just somepoint next year?
