Groteslurf
On Sunday I went with wife and kids for 3 days to Europapark. We booked a bambini-room in Hotel Colosseo. This was our second stay in one of the Europark hotels. Last time was in 2003 in Hotel Castillo Alcazar. That hotel was also nicely themed, but we found Hotel Colosseo way better. First the hotel pics. ^ kids playarea in the hotel. ^ random hotel theming ^ ^ the beautiful ceiling in the lobby. the lobby Back to the Hotel Colosseo .... ashtray. and the new hotel Santa Isabel. Groteslurf
Europark is a beautiful park but was very crowdy. As I was with the kids, we concentrated on the darkrides and family attractions, for which there were almost never lines. I went on Silver Star only once during the 3 days as the line was 40 minutes all the time. Also all other coasters had 20 to 30 minute lines, so didn't do all the coasters during our stay. Here are the pics. Eurosat with a 30 minutes crowd in the front. Kids attraction ^ ^ ^ Euromir. My daughter and I on the second row. ^ ^ On to Atalantica Supersplash before the crowds were arriving. ^ In the same area as the logflume and minetrain, there is a shop and walkthrough attraction. Also the mine train was already open for us. Being a hotelguest, we were allowed into the park 30 minutes before the actual parkopening. So we were able to ride the logflume without queueing. almightyfire
OH MY GOD! This park is BEAUTIFUL. Why are most of the parks in Europe are heavily themed and most of ours aren't? This park is Disney, Las Vegas, Universal Studios and Magic Mountain all rolled into one. It has the heavily themed areas and big rides all rolled into one park. This place looks like UTOPIA. Airtime&Gravity
Nice photos and TR, and Europa Park looks like an amazing park. I just find it amazing that they have the collection of coasters they do, but none feature inversions. It basically seems to be one giant family park, and the only major thrill ride seems to be Silver Star.
niiicolaaah
Great pictures. That hotel looks gorgeous, and Europa Park is pretty much at the top of my "to do" list. Thanks for sharing!
jten11
Nice photos and TR, and Europa Park looks like an amazing park. I just find it amazing that they have the collection of coasters they do, but none feature inversions. Yeah I agree. To me it look likes a very balanced theme park(and beautiful). And the fact that they have good-looking coasters but with no inversions is a perfect draw-in for families. That goes to show you a park doesnt need a 10 inversion, multi-looping coaster, or something like that to be a succesful park. (Something some American parks needs a lesson on)
vistaway
Wow - great pics, great park. Your pics will help me convince the wife that the park will be perfect to bring our three year to next year. Thanks!
thomas2
What always bothered me about the hotel is that the colosseum arch is to small. It's not big enough to fit with the grandness of the rest of the hotel IMO. Great pictures! Thanks for sharing.

Louise
Beautiful hotel, and a stunning-looking park too! Euromir has always intrigued me looks-wise, and the theming at this place is very detailed. Jew
I thought Europa Park was definitely on par with any Disney park for themeing. Same with the Hotels. I definitely want to visit that park again!

I agree the park looks amazing, but I don't belive from those pictures that there is anything that resembles SFMM! LOL Thank god for them! Nice pictures and report. I love to see pictures from those beautiful European parks. Keep up the good work:)
Janster
Nice pictures. This park is really beautiful. Europa Park has pretty much everything. Theming, family rides, good food, wtf rides and Silverstar! When I was there last april another good point draw my attention: The park was really cramped with people, but all rides were operating at a really massive capacity. For example: 3 boats per minute on Poseidon water coaster, Silverstar running three 36 passenger trains with no stacking of trains in the station and a massive amount of rapids in the rapids ride. Even though there were like 20,000 - 25,000 people in the park, we were able to do all the rides there. Compliments to the ride operators.
