I know there is a "Come on in and say hi" thread in the Random Fourm, but with so many people who have come through our turnstiles in the last 48 hours from so many different locations, it's hard to get a snapshot of where everyone is from.

Please vote where you're from and POST what your local park is!

Robb: Valencia, CA - SFMM (right down the street!!!)

Well, my homepark is gonna have to be Knotts. But I like Magic Mountain better. I live in Long Beach, CA. So both are not far. Knotts = 25 min.

SFMM= About 1 hour. Thats without "much" traffic.

PS: Robb, I truley envy you for your location.

Six Flags America would be my home park. It's about 45 min away. Yeah and PKD is about an hour and a half. I very much prefer PKD.

Kind of halfway between Southampton and London in the UK.

Local major park (as opposed to Paultons Park which nobody has heard of) is either Thorpe Park or Legoland Windsor.

Posted

Legoland-30 minutes

Thorpe park-40 minutes

Chessington-45 minutes

Those are estimates mind...all traffic depending really

There's only a few theme parks I can go to...I live in Niagara Falls; so locally there's not much.

SF Darien Lake- 45 mins

Martins Fantasy Island- 10 mins or so

Paramount Canada's Wonderland- ?? I have no idea I haven't been there but I wanna go!!!

Hershey Park- Never been here either!!

Cedar Point- 5 hrs or so--this is as far as I'm willing to make someone drive me to get to a theme park--but it's worth the long drive!!

Well unfortunatly my hometown park is the old and in need of much repair Six Flags over Mid America-- and you know if it wasnt for the Screamin Eagle or the Boss, i wouldnt even visit this park! I remember going to the park back in the 70's when I was a teenager, and it used to be a rockin park. but now all these years later its doing nothing but falling apart..

So whenever I need to fill my coaster needs, I jump in the car and head out to Six Flags Great America in Gurnee. much more worth it...

Uk! I have about 4 parks near me.. Alton Towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Southport Pleasureland, Camelot.

Now aren't you jealous the Uk is so small

Even places like Thorpe Park are only a 2 hour train ride away!

I may be going to the UK on business, so I'll have to try to hit a park or two while I'm there! Any ideas on parks between London and Chippenham (where my company's UK office is)?

I live in East Haven, CT which is along the CT shoreline.

I consider Six Flags New England as my home park (45 minutes) however, Lake Compounce is only 35 minutes away.

I guess Northwestern Ohio is Mid West...its not really "Eastern"

Cedar Point - 55 minutes

Geauga Lake - 2 hours

Various other obvious Indiana/Ohio/Penn/Mich parks are within 5 hours of me.

Local park is Paramount's Carowinds but in the fall my local park is the South Carolina State Fair (which is like a traveling theme park. If you've been then you will know!!)

I live in Muskegon, MI so Michigan's Adventure is only 15 minutes away (8 miles north), so that means I get to ride Shivering Timbers alot, and I mean alot. but Cedar Point is 4-5 hours, depending on if I speed, and SFGA is either 3 if I take the ferry or 5 if I drive the whole way.
