Photo TR : IOA/US @ Mardi Gras, With Exclusive Hulk Pics

OK where to begin?

This TR is from a month ago (almost to the day) I obviously wanted to post it right after the trip. But it was my first PTR so I wasn't sure about everything and had to resize the pics, clean some of them up, get all my ducks in a row. (< what??) Between my job and my daughter and my drug addiction, J/K

I don't have a job.

No really, about the drugs , I have a job.

Anyway fast-forward a month and I still didn't have it done. So I thought it would be kinda funny to post on my one month anniversary of the trip, but we all know what was up with the boards yesterday. Soooo, I am gonna do it tonight even if it takes me all night, and by the way I'm typing, it just might.

BTW I was thinking of just not posting it, since it was so late. But I got so many exclusive never before seen shots of the Hulk, I just had to share them.

Also if I'm not that tired, I might just include the guess that toilet game!!! Mostly thought up just for Erik and his vast knowledge of everything universal, but fun for everyone to play!!

So it was Sat. March 25th. I remember it like it was a month ago.........

I went with my friend and her son KC, he's almost 15, so that will explain some of his actions, but not mine.

It was a bit chilly in the morning, warmed up a bit during the day, the weather was great, I wish I could sat the same for my trip. I've been to IOA and US, many a times, so I guess I a bit spoiled, with the crowds, lines, wait times. I don't roll like some people so I don't get the fast pass, usually I visit on week days, off season, so I'm not used to the masses except at HHN, then I'm ready for them. The point being, it was freakin' crowded, I pulled around the corner to the parking lot and there was cars backed up to I-Drive (not really, but almost) I'll let the pictures do the talking. Lets just say, normally I can do everything in both parks in one day pretty easy, but this day I rode a total of 5, that's right 5 although I did ride one of them twice. Oh and also the picture quality is OK not the best, but I think there pretty good considering my camera, which you will see in the first pic.

I think DDRF was closed, only to open a few days later, bastards, 3 times now and still closed.

KC did some drillin'......I want to warn you about the next shot, its not for the faint of heart, I did edit just a little, but its still disturbing.

Then he tried to eat the Hulk and everyone on it.

"There everywhere!!" He loves 'um!

After the assault on Captain America, KC decided he wanted to play with more balls, big ones!!

And Punch him straight in the nuts. I'm not sure what CA ever did to deserve that? KC said "he had it coming".......??????

We finally made it in and the first thing KC does is run to see Captain America??

Still waiting to get in....almost there...

Did I mention it was busy? you can almost make out the ticket scanner thingy, ahead.

..this. whoever got closest in 3 tries won, since we're together, we both won. I played again with KCs mom to win fast passes for the Hulk!

We each had 1 of these guys...

I mean, The Dueling Dragons!! We played a game, right here to win a walk-on to the front row of the dragon of our choice.

Ahhhhhh!!!!...needless to say it was only 5 min. woo hoo! finally our first ride of the day!....next on to....

KC and I pretended that we were riding, because we didn't know how long the wait was yet...Wooooooh!!

On to the Hulk, for the 1st and only time today.

these times were off by about 15 to 25 min. Bluto's Barge only 5 min...that's 'cause you can't take off your shoes anymore, who wants soggy feet all day?? not me.

...really ,really, likes them, we had to go. I have a few more, less tastefull pics of him and his lights, but I'll spare you all, your welcome.

Now that we're full, time for the Hulk, after a quick stop to see KCs favorite lights in all of USR.

KC had to stop for a drink, but now we're off to US, maybe it wont be so busy over there and we can ride more than 4 rides.

OMFG, I think it was about 1:00 or 2:00 at this point and for every 1 person that was leaving, it looks like 3 are taking their place!!

Indeed it does, you just have to wait 2 hrs for it.

That's enough of this, we had a great 15 second ride on the ear fal, but we gotta go to US, it's too crowded here, but look at all the peeps leaving.

This is the man, Carlos, he had the key to release the restraints and get us off of here.

These two where working vigorously to get us off safely, or they where sent by "him" to keep an eye on me.

...it broke down and we were stuck here for about 20 min. there was 1 train in the launch tube, 1 in the station and ours, baking in the sun.

On to Universal, it was Mardi Gras, so there was a concert at the end of the night.

I don't know if most of you know who they are, but they country, for the most part. Some of their songs sound like normal country, some a little more rock and some just plain odd.

Also they launched the career of Cowboy Troy, a 6'5" 250 lb. black rappin' cowboy, hick-hop, he calls it.

Now for those of you who know me ( none of you do ) I'm not really into country, at all, but B n' R, I can handle. I didn't want anyone thinking I was a redneck, not that there's anything wrong with that , I'm just not. Anyway KC's mom is nut about them, and that's the reason she came, so as soon as we got in US she went to the stage area to wait, so she could get front row.

Now that that's out of the way, on with the show.

I like this shot, this will be the last one of the show. For as close as we where, most of my pictures sucked, it was dark and they moved around a lot. I did get some video too, it looks ok on the phone, but pretty grainy on the computer.

While waiting the girls in front of us got nachos, they looked pretty good, so did the nachos, so I snapped of a few shots. The following pics are from a video I took of the one girl eating, it was pretty hot, but it's a 3gp file so I can't upload it. her

KCs mom was still waiting, this is the only shot I got of her. and here we sat for a while.........a long while. Check out the black hole in the sun. It reminds me of Soundgarden.

On the way back to the stage, we saw lil' jon. YEEEAYHHA!!!! What!!

All the times I've been here this is the first time I saw this sign. Not sure why I took a pic of it? Thought it might come in handy some day.

This was the end of the "sad and pathetic" line for MIB, yes it was still crowded. This would be the only ride on anything, we get at US. RotM was broke still/again when we passed by, and we weren't gonna wait an hour for anything else here.

On to MIB, I think they added something new to the front, I just can't seem to place it. No really, they changed the "trick photo spot" around, look for it, it's cool.

Still pretty freakin' busy here too. This was just gonna be another crowd shot, but I caught a crime in the act, can you see it???.........That's right , that old lady is trying to rob that girl for her dippin' dots, "gimme, those dots bitch! "

On our way to Jaws, which we didn't go on 'cause of the hour wait, we got some Dippin' Dots, Yummayy!

You know, I was planning on doing a daily TR next week, and with all of the recent Florida TR's being posted over the last few weeks, I'm gonna have to work really hard to find pictures that haven't really been posted yet, or find a way to add my own humor to everything.

That's what I'm sayin' I made this joke back in December:

"Erik Johnson is your source for anything IOA or USO, pictures, hours, Mythos menus, hell he can even tell you the toilet paper changing schedule in all the restrooms. He goes like every other day, just 'cause he broke his camera, dosn't mean he's not there right now"

That always stuck in my head, and Erik kinda inspired me to do that game.

So I expect him to get a damn near perfect score.

Crap, (yes pun intended) I suck at the toliet game. I guess I usually just use the bushes near the Dueling Dragons castle. Oh well. Anyway that was a great Photo TR. I am glad everything posted correctly the 2nd time. Yeah I have had that Hulk experience myself being stuck out there on the track for 20mins or so. I have never seen IOA/USO so crowded before, WOW! I would have given up after about an hour and went to Sea World. I am glad you had a good time.

I was basically laughing through the whole thing. Best trip report... ever!
