local radio stations

What are your local radio stations? In SF we have stations like live105 which is an alternative station and 106.1 KMEL which is the cra... I mean rap statinion of the bay area. My fav is probably live105 (you can listen to it live at www.live105.com)

They play good music like muse and flogging molly. What are some stations where you are from? What is your fav? It would be cool to know

Me, ive given up on local radio, mainly listen to my sirius. I like alt. nation and left of center.

I too like to listen to Live 105. but in the morning I listen to Free 92.3 from NY, online, my favorite "morning" The Doghouse, Elvis & Jv. They used to be on Wild 94.9 SF, got fired last year, and then went to Free 106.9 SF, then the the beggining of this year left for New York..

I miss those guys with their prank calls.

I rarely listen due to most of the songs being overplayed crap;

102.5 for Classic rock.

105.9 for Alternative.

93.3 for Pop (only listen to it when The MJ Morning Show is on)

I can't remember what else I got on my pre-sets, but they're actually in order of priority of listening.

The only local radio station I ever listen to anymore is Real Radio 104.1 (talk radio). I usually listen to the Monsters in the Morning, and the Hideout at night when Im coming home from practice.

Both shows are on XM, so I plan on getting that soon.

I never listen to the radio for music anymore.

95.5 PLJ it my station!

Every Sunday night, Planet X takes over 103.3 and plays amazing techno music. Other than that, I relaly don't listen to any local stations.

Meh, most of the radio here is Christian radio, Country, or "mix" stations, and the classic rock has too many commercials. But, the new rock station, 100.3 The Edge, is decent.

Edit: I don't even know if we have an Alternative station.

I listen to Eagle 106.7 for Nascar, and 106.1 WNGC for Georgia Games, but only for those reasons.

The only radio stations I enjoyed got shut down, and all of them got arrested.

Free Radio San Diego 96.9, pirate radio and college radio are pretty much all I can stand anymore.

Fox FM, is my current Fovaourite, but JJJ and MMM are also cool.

92 KQRS is the best morning show in the Twin Cities, but after that the drop is severe down to the quality of stations and morning shows.

B96, KDWB, and KS95 are all hideous.

95.5 KLOS - Classic rock is awesome

103.1 INDIE - Great alternative music

93.1 JACK FM - So random

106.7 KROQ - Great new rock

I listen to Star 94.1 and 94.9 Lite FM in Atlanta

G Rock 98.5! and down south Kiss 95.1 FM Charlotte's #1 hit music station Ace & T.J!

Here in San Francisco, the only music stations I listen to regularly are college-radio outlets KUSF and KALX - spotty reception, but no annoying commercials, no playlist straightjackets, and (especially in the case of KALX) amazing depth and variety. If I need, say, an oldies or reggae fix, I'll listen to the corresponding Music Choice channel through cable.

KFOG does do amazing fireworks every May, though.
