Favorite SFKK Coaster

No bashing on Kentucky Kingdom first off okay? Sure it's small, very "southern", and poorly run, but the park itself if calm, quaint, and totally underated. After all it is my home park, so take a second wether you've been there or not and take a second to say what looks cool, what you loved, and even what you hated.

After all Twisted Twins is way past it's golden age right?

Greased Lightning. Overall, SFKK's ride lineup isn't all that impressive, but Greased Lightning is probably my favorite of the bunch. It also helps that you can literally race the ride from your car... Especially when your in an '03 35th Anniversary edition Camaro and win

Just curious, do you slow at the loop? Otherwise it isn't exactly fair. Laugh out loud. But what about Chang? Anyone?

Nope. The race is just the launch.

If your car can out launch a freakin' rollercoaster then you KNOW it's fast!

Hmmm a toss up between Chang and ThunderRun

As a side note.. I like SFKK and dont think its as bad of a park as people make it out to be.

Thunder Run is the only roller coaster at SFKK that has been consistently good during my visits, therefore, it is the best.

I liked the shuttle loop even though it wasn't one of the better ones I rode. Thunder Run would probably be runner up but I know one thing for sure is that T2 is on the last page of the list!

Thunder Run followed very closely by Greezed Lightnin followed by Chang (for a B&M of its size and stats its quite mediocre)

This is actually a very hard question. It depends on how the rides are running. Some days it's Thunder Run, some days it's Chang, and some days it's Greezed Lightnin'. During my last visit, Greezed Lightnin' was running the best so I guess I'll go with it.

I've only ridden one of these coasters, so I had to vote for it: Greezed.

Thunder Run for me, no question. It's either my #1 or #2 woodie for the ejector air over the bunny hops! My second choice would actually be Twisted Twins.

And I agree, I have never thought Kentucky Kingdom was that bad of a park. Sure it can use improvements, but by no means does it deserve the bashings that some enthusiasts give it.

I really wanted the twins to be my fave at that park, but my vote goes to Thunder Run.

I think Chang and Thunder Run are the best and I choose Thunder Run. But there still at least 3 dozen others woodies at other parks I would rather ride. Maybe my view of Thunder Run is influenced but the fact I rode Legend, Raven, Cornball and Hurricane Hoosier over a three day period and TR is just not in the same class with 3/4 of those other woodies.

I voted for the 'twins' - for the only reason being I got so many go's on them both, compared to the other coasters there.

I was able to get many cross-platform go's from one side to another.

T2 is just awful - almost as bad as El Condor

Greezed Lightin' was a bit of a disappointment to be very honest, I think everyone in our 'group' enjoyed it, but some of us felt that the launch was weak compared to say Turbine.

Thunder Run was a surprise - I wasn’t sure what to expect from it, but the queue line was pretty long, so we were only 1 ride on it.

Chang is better than Mantis IMO, but I've never been a fan of stand-up coasters anyways.

The other coasters were o-kay

I've grown up in Louisville, and for awhile Kentucky Kingdom was vacation. LOL

And if you had stopped and listened to the ride ops you would have heard the strangest things like I have.

For example: Dialouge was written this way on purpose

"You are so duuuuurty, but if you want we can do hat (that) on R break"

"Would you like to supersize that?"

^ Maybe she had a second job at McDonalds.

"Did you know that the rollaskatR has a loop?"

I Thunder Run because it was the first coaster I rode that had a hairpin at the bottom of the first drop. It was running quite smoothly when I rode. (Better than it's clone bretheren when I rode them.)

It's good to see the recognition you guys are giving Kentucky Kingdom. I love my homepark of the ill dated THRILL PARK!! (As it was once called.)

Recognition? We're just picking our favorite ride at a park. I've had nothing but bad experiences at the park and I went in trying my hardest tolike it.
