robbalvey Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 (edited) So many of these going up and ALL of them seeming to be at least somewhat different from each other, which IMO is awesome! I have my eyes set on this one and TusenFryd's as to which could be the next "best" rocket. Anyway, I found some more photos that look as though the track has been complete. Have a look: http://www.roller-coaster.com.au/gallery.php?gid=113 And then of course there are all these awesome pics at OzCoaster: http://ozcoaster.net/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=77 --Robb "Wow!" ncf Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 For me it is really hard to see how good this coaster is because I really need to see the layout. An onride video or aireal pics would help a lot.
rollermonkey Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Yeah, this one definitely looks like a winner, yeah definitely. Definitely a winner, yeah. Wheel of Fortune. Chris B
Cerberus Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Its a shame that Thorpe Park lacked the imagination to make the most of this concept like other parks are starting to do now. If you can't make it the biggest, you can certainly make up for it with a fun layout. But no, Thorpe are getting neither. Le sigh That coaster is looking great. You don't hear much about the amusement industry in Australia. Hopefully this'll be the start of a big movement for them! Cerberus
DerekRx Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Superman looks to be, IMO, the best of the rocket coasters ever. I'm not sure how long the darkride portion will be, but the rest of it looks even better than Storm Runner and Xcelerator, the best of the rockets. Now if only Australia wasn't on the other side of the world and all my vacation days weren't used up already. Aussies, see you in 2008!

Granted, as people have said "Stealth" will catch the imagination of the public i guess, with its height and uniqueness over here, but it could have had so much more. I'm hopeful of being back in Australia sometime next year, i will definitely be going on this.
Adam Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Yep, the track has been completed! Can't wait for testing http://www.aussieparks.com/superman-update/
