FlyingScooter Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 My fav is the train at DollyWood. you get a nice long ride on that one.
Angry_Gumball Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 DLR's train, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (Hey, that is a train, but on crack!)
CoasterCrazy Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 My favorite train is the one at BGT because I like how you ride pass animals as you go through the park. In addition, it is nice to see some animals instead of just rides when you go to a theme park.
What Now Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 The Train at Knott's 'cause it's an actual train.
Meteornotes Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 The train ride at Knoebel's. It's long, it's pitch black at night, and you get to see rodents eating corn! Â dt
Sir Clinksalot Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 DLRR ... Â My favorite trains though are not at a theme park, per-se. They are at Griffith Park in LA at a place called Travel Town. It's a kind of train museum, plus they have a mini train ride that is pretty cool.
GAcoaster Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 The theme park train ride I liked best was at SFOG (when it ran steam), but now my favorite is BGW. They maintain their engines beautifully and take great pride in them.
vertgforces Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 The one at Seabreeze Park is my favorite for no particular reason.
CoasterFanatic Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 Dollywood  Honarable mention has to go to Adventure City. Next time anybody goes, make sure you say hi to Ted for me. The Two Teds
coaster1 Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 SFOT's .. still using steam  SDC's is great too and so is DLR's
crispy Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 The best traon is the Roaring Camp train from the Santa Cruz Mountains to the SCBB  it is a great ride, and very long  a real train ride through the redwoods and santa cruz  chris, holy crap i'm really drunk, perkins
Angry_Gumball Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 I forgot to add the Niles Canyon Train ride, which I rode when I was little. It's a great ride through the canyon.
Hattuchili Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 My favorite Park train is the one at Disneyland Resort Paris. I like the tour around the park. Â --Soeren
GAcoaster Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 SFOT's .. still using steam  No, they have "deiselized" the Texas, and the General is getting done next. For last season, the were running Gretta, a deisel engine from SFFT.
vertgforces Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 ^ those are the trains at Six Flags Over Georgia
BigAL Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 My favorite is the Tweetsie Railroad in North Carolina. This one may not count since it such a small park.
socalMAN123 Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Hey yall- My favorite train would have to be the Skunk train in Northern California. Goes right through tons of redwoods and is very relaxing. Everybody should get this. Brent "the Skunk Train should be a credit" Shenton
bgwfreak Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 BGW is my favorite. Â Especially when they had Drachenfire and you rode inbetween one of the supports. Â R.I.P. Drachenfire.
WildStangAlex Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 By far I would Say Busch Gardens Tampa. You take a ride through ther version on Africa. The train encircles the entire park and goes through many different "villages", "countries" and animal zones. Periodically the train needs to stop to let giraffes or other wild animals cross the tracks!
DragonKhan Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 My vote goes to the one at Port Aventura. Simply beautiful!
socalMAN123 Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 I gotta go with Knott's because of the robbers that come through or Disney's because it is Disney and even the train is themed. ---Brent 8)
scruffy Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 Kings Island Railroad, Disneyland, and WDW Magic Kingdom
ParkTrips Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 (edited) Tough call. Edited April 18, 2017 by ParkTrips
dandaman Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 The Walt Disney World Railroad. Have the book "Walt Disney's Railroad Story", as a matter of fact. It was my first ever ride in a theme park, and I've never forgotten the magic that first whistle heralded for me.
