Great pics!! I think they should have parked one of those Millennium Force trains in my garage. I can take good care of them.

Awesome pics! It makes me want to trek out to Sandusky again, but I think I'll stay in sunny SoCal for the winter :p

Having a username like "COASTAH FREAK" is like having a girl's name tattooed on your chest. You hate looking at it every day, but it's there for good.

Am I allowed to eat donkey during lent?

^That part from Raptor that you were unsure about is for train removal. It is attached to each car and used to lift them off the back of the transfer track via a hoist that is mounted above the track. Very slow process.

Great Ohio Coaster Club had a group out at the park. Belonging to a club=perks ;)

So wait, the East of Chicago outside the causeway is being replaced by DQ?

Ugh... There goes the best place to eat out there.

For that very easy I think my visits may dwindle even farther to CP... l I looked forward to that when we went. Nothing in the park is worthy (we all know this) with the exception of Famous Daves (which I LOVE but I go to my local one which does not have inflated prices, and they basically know me by name...) haha

Sad day indeed... Sucks they closed it.

That's the East of Chicago we're talking about? An all you can eat pizza buffet that was always crowded, delicious, and a fair price is being closed for a Dairy Queen? Seems like such a smart business decision :?r

I was trying to figure out what location he meant. The restaurant is located outside of the park. I didn't know that Cedar Point owned the property. I really hope that this isn't true...

Maybe it is a smart decision. Now they don't have to compete with the very cheap Ci-Ci's Pizza Buffet and what they are adding is not currently in Sandusky. We used to have a Dairy Queen but it closed about 7 years ago. I'm sure the closure is not a snap decision, there is a reason. Maybe business was slow (perhaps due to Ci-Ci's), the lease was up and EoC didn't want to renew or Cedar Point just thought it was time for a change. Personally I would have liked to seen a 5 Guys go in there.

I wonder though if DQ will close all winter long like EoC does.

^Sandusky has Eats 'n Treats, which is leaps and bounds better than Dairy Queen. East of Chicago was always a great place to get food, certainly better than DQ.

It was very cool to be able to see the park in the middle of winter. A bit of snow on the ground would have been even more awesome. Thank you very much Great Ohio Coaster Club and Cedar Point! I look forward to future events.
