No, not too much. When we first started the thread, the only annual passes we had were for Walt Disney World, so there was a lot of that at the beginning. But we now have annual passes for pretty much everything. And we've both worked for Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld at one time or another, so we're pretty well covered in terms of biases. :p

I will say that we chose Howl-O-Scream over Horror Nights and Spooktacular over Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party based at least partially on cost, but keep in mind that Mickey's is an upcharge and Spook isn't.

Sometimes random just *seems* like a pattern. ;)

I see! At Aquatica, I didn't see your Green Lantern t-shirt. If I do a "Florida Unusual Adventure," I need to go to the comic book store for a Hal Jordan shirt. :)

I've not seen too many pictures of the inside of Aquatica, now that I've seen more it really makes me want to visit sometime. Perhaps one of these days when I'm not paying student loans...

Gorgeous pictures, and a highly amusing TR!

During October and November, Long & Scott Farms in Zellwood, Florida, is home to a corn maze. Knowing almost nothing about it (other than price, hours, and location) we set off....

Scott's Maze Adventures
02P1122289.JPG
Fairly professional looking.
03P1122290.JPG
Um...slightly less professional.
05P1122189.jpg
Oh my freaking god, it's "Deliverance."
06P1122285.JPG
Overwhelming options. We went basic. Two for the corn maze, please.
07P1122192.JPG
After buying wristbands, you are directed (without explanation) to the "video line."
10P1122193.JPG
Small mazes, and other confusing distractions, can be found along this "video line."
16P1122200.JPG
Ah...! We have to watch a video explaining the rules before we go in.
18P1122203.JPG
Puzzles and such, to be deciphered within the maze.
20P1122205.jpg
Despite having almost no idea of what to expect going in, I find myself surprised by just how big, busy, and "country" the whole thing is. (The stairway on top leads to a slide, by the way.)
24P1122216.jpg
Lots of playground-type stuff. And a maze just for Misty!
25IMGP8201.JPG
Hay!
28P1122210.jpg
A hay...spider...?
29P1122211.JPG
A corn walk-around character. I could go home happy right now, honestly.
30IMGP8209.JPG
They even have food! I'm not eating any of it, but still....
32P1122218.JPG
The wind tunnel and, um, "restrooms."
35P1122220.JPG
Look, once we get to the maze itself, it's just going to be a bunch of photos of corn, so enjoy this craziness while you can.
40P1122215.JPG
If you went to outer space, and looked down on this corn maze, I'd suggest that you reevaluate your priorities a bit.
42P1122222.JPG
The entrance and maze rules.
48P1122257.JPG
Did you ever see that movie, "Children of the Corn"? I didn't.
50P1122226.JPG
Hmmm....
54P1122233.JPG
Oh, the puzzles!
56P1122227.JPG
Smisty does a rubbing.
58P1122263.JPG
Not a good sign.
60P1122265.JPG
Hey, a bridge! How do we get up there??
65P1122232.JPG
Okay, we're lost.
69P1122247.JPG
Yay, we found the bridge entrance! We're saved!
72P1122256.JPG
The view from the bridge.
74P1122254.JPG
"So, which way are you telling folks how to get out of here?" - "You're telling them how to get out?"
76P1122255.JPG
Back in we go.
78P1122269.JPG
Yay! We finished all the puzzles!
80IMGP8206.JPG
And this maze is conquered.
85P1122276.JPG
CORN see us! Get it?
88P1122277.JPG
You can buy corn here.
92P1122286.JPG
Or even... *become* corn!
98P1122292.JPG
Yeah, so that was a thing.

Maybe even a fun thing.

^ I think doing all of the puzzles helped a lot. Without that, it was just sort of a trudge.

The corn maze looks like a lot of fun, I bet my kids would enjoy it... Probably won't be able to make it until next year though :(

Great photos! I have never heard of Zellwood, FL. I had to look it up on Google Maps and yep, just as I suspected, it was in the middle of nowhere!

The maze looks like something my neice and nephew would enjoy. Personally, I'm still trying to make sense of all those ticket options. My brain hurts. :)
