KDcoasterMAN Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 There's a new update on BGT Guide. The supports kinda (I mean definitely) look Intamin like Maverick. http://www.bgtguide.com/bgt/project2011/photosjune29
Inukaza Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I will be at the park today taking photos, expect an update tonight. 8D
808Freq Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 There's a new update on BGT Guide. The supports kinda (I mean definitely) look Intamin like Maverick. http://www.bgtguide.com/bgt/project2011/photosjune29 Was looking at those photos.. do you mean the footers look like Intamin in those picture? Or were you talking about another picture/video altogether, if so, could you link me?
alpengeist04 Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 I believe he's referring to the footers in the BGT update and the ones in the picture below. They look very much alike. Maverick photo courtesy of rcdb.

robbalvey Posted August 2, 2010 Author Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) Busch Gardens Tampa's Park President Jim Dean has a special sneak peek and construction tour for Theme Park Review. Check out the video below! [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=JimDeanCustom01_Rob_hm10[/coastertube] Oh, man, I don't know about you guys, but I'm totally psyched for this thing now!!! --Robb Edited August 2, 2010 by robbalvey
pianojohn Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Very cool! He must have recorded a bunch of different intros. I just saw one for Orlando Attractions Magazine as well. But still a nice touch and REALLY thoughtful to reach out to the fanboys/fangirls community!
triggernel Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 That's awesome! Have you ever gotten one of these before? My guess is, a Wingrider, where you ride facing down, like your running on all fours . Man wouldn't that be something.
Coasterbp Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Way cool that he did that for the community. What a great way to reach out to the community and give them something unique like this. Well done, BGT! Looking forward to more of these! -=BP
robbalvey Posted August 2, 2010 Author Posted August 2, 2010 Very cool! He must have recorded a bunch of different intros. That's what I figured. But what a GREAT IDEA for such a personalized video. I mean, I totally understand that in theory it's quite simple - create one main video with multiple intros, but actually putting that idea into action and making it happen is not always as easy as it seems. I give a ton of props to BGT's PR dept for putting that together. I felt it was very well done and speaks to the kind of things that park PR departments SHOULD be doing. --Robb
BeemerBoy Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Yeah, props to Jim Dean for that video. To be honest though, this doesn't need a ton of teasers, hints, etc. The simple mention of BGT+ new coaster = automatic interest.
televisedconfession Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 They sure are going to "Move Fast!" I'm so excited!!!
crazydaveh Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Since I work in the field of video production for a major corporation (no, not any theme parks) this is flat out awesome. I've already forwarded the video to people here to show how social media videos can be useful! I think Jill and the gang down at BGT have a home run on the video here! Holy After Effects!
tdstom Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Well you do have over 30,000 members here. I would *hope* they would cater to you a little at least, right!!??
rollin_n_coastin Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Just fantastic! Regardless of how many intros he shot, the fact is that he actually did that. Thanks for sharing Robb, very cool stuff!
alpengeist04 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Jim Dean and BGT rocks!!! I really like the personal touch. ...very well done.

moinab Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Very well done! We haven't been to BG, yet, but next year may be the year!
window Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Robb, Am I doing something wrong? I'm viewing this thread via safari on my iPhone 4, but I can't see the video. I just get an empty space. The same happens when I click on the coaster tube link as well. cheers, Matt
braztaz Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 (edited) Gr, I'm so excited for this! He got my hopes up that he would show us the actual plans And this video is what every park should do. Edited August 2, 2010 by robbalvey

Sir Clinksalot Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 That's really awesome that they did this. Very cool, and I'll be even more excited to make my first visit to BGT next year.
Bubba83 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Jim Dean makes really good sausage too. Is there anything this guy can't do????
Erik Johnson Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 This was awesome. This is another reason why I love Busch Parks and maintain my Platinum pass.
braztaz Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Something never done before...do you think he means by height, speed, prototype?
