Photo TR: Brad and Andrew visit Legoland Discovery Centre

Recommended Posts

Legoland Discovery Centre in Manchester opened its doors today so we decided to go and check it out.

To be honest I went not expecting much at all and boy was I impressed.

The park is in the middle of the Trafford Centre, a shopping mall in Manchester which with this means a day there can now be fun.

To say the small space they have there was a lot to do including a shooting dark ride, 4D cinema, Fire academy and a Miniland.

A great day was had and it's not just for kids.

Nice TR, Brad. I'm glad someone was able to get there for an opening day report!

The Lego Alton and Blackpool look amazing! Didn't expect to see them in there at all!

I take it Fire Academy isn't quite the same as the version in the big Legoland?

The centre was good fun. Nothing big, but they packed a lot of activities in for the kids. Plus there looks to be some room to change things around like the "Lego Universe" section. The two of us spent about 2 hours there, but a family could probably spend a whole afternoon. After the factory tour you could wander and do whatever you wanted as often as you wished, even the shooting dark ride.

Also it looks like we were guests 108 and 109 in to the centre! I wonder how busy it will be on the weekends.
