Very nice Shane. I have a WDW book from around 1977 or 78 I've been meaning to scan and post. As well as a Disneyland one from a bit earlier too.

Tokyo Disnyland

Postby montezooma » Tue Oct 13, 2009 5:14 pm

Here is a souvenir book from my first visit to Tokyo Disneyland back in 1985 (wow, that was over 20 years ago, I really am getting old). I still love this place and if you haven't been... beg, borrow or steal to get there!

If TPR had a like button I'd click it...

These are so cool! It really makes me wish I still had most of my old theme park memorabilia from the 90s...

HOW VERY COOL!

Shane, yet again, I'm floored. It's amazing to see how much integral differences there are between something so similar- I.E. the covered Main Street- and the very essence of a park's spirit.

(And this 24 hours before I go to Disneyland for the first time, too!)

Wow, it looks almost like Disneyland.... Except everybody is Japaneese! :P

Great photos. I wish I was able to go to theme parks back then, they still had charm. Modern day parks have great rides with a whole lot of thrill, but very little charm. I'm gald to see some 'charming' pictures of parks like TDL. =)

Great stuff as always Shane, and I recently learned how to add these to the Park Index in a less clunky manner.
