Great Coasters Debuts New Website!

Postby Evan1127 » Sun Nov 02, 2008 11:35 am

We debuted our new website yesterday! I suggest checking it out:

www.greatcoasters.com

If you submitted one or more photos to the site, there is a good chance at least one of them is being featured (if not, it was typically due to repeat shots, low resolution, etc.). We will continue to accept photos for possible inclusion, so it may be more helpful now to see how they're being used. Overall, I think it's a great way to showcase our fans' photos of our rides!

In any case, browse around. There are some cool new features on the site, and a few others being played with that could make an appearance in the future.

The best part of the new site is that is has updated information on it and will continue to!

Feedback is more than welcome. With the new site, it's never too late to make changes for the better, so I'd love some constructive criticism.

Enjoy!

Can you see the donkey in my toast?

I noticed this yesterday. It looks like a really good makeover to the site. Great job!

Saw the site right when it went up, but didn't want to post anything as you hadn't yet.

Anyway, the site is awesome, lots of great information on there. Very well set up and easy to navigate, and the gallery is very nice, though it seems like all of the pictures are 'action' shots. I think including a section with CAD/3d renderings could be a good idea as well as it shows off more of the technical aspect of the rides, which I'd think potential customers would be interested in.

Very nice over all though, a huge improvement over the old site. Love those pictures of the new section of Boulder Dash too, which I think is the best part of the ride now.

Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing the CMG Models site in the future.

Great website! I remember checking out the earlier version and wishing for some more info on GCII projects. This new site has all the info I wanted! Super well organized and I like the layout! :)

Have I mentioned how awesome donkeys are?

OMG! I am so excited!

I clicked the link to Great Projects and the photo is Troy from this past summer's TPR Europe trip. I'm right there in the second visible row. I feel so special.

I think Intamin should make a donkey!

The site looks really good. I've already found a typo though. This quote is from the description for the first picture for Roar at SFDK: "Roar's structure sits beautifully in the Southern California park" For those who don't know, SFDK is near San Fransisco, which isn't in Southern California.

You're right, thanks. I've updated the caption.

I guess it's true that the more you stare at things, the easier it is to make silly mistakes without catching them.
