Aww, this is a bummer. I really like Lost Continent for it's originality and for it's great themeing. It really did define the park in my my mind and it was cool because it didn't have a rights brand slapped all over it.

I'm sure HP will be good, but IOA has just lost some of it's oomph. Obviously I'll still visit the park, but I'll never be able to experience the cool, original version of it.

And if the Griffon statues are gone, Mystic Fountain is likely going too.

I need a donut to cheer me up. :(

EDIT: Just noticed that this is post 1666. Is that creepy or what?

Does anyone know the reason why the stairs at Dueling Dragons were blocked off? Did it ever not have the ropes?

Good to the last drop

If anyone happens to come across one of the statues while they're dumpster diving, I have this great spot in my front lawn...

First Enchanted Oak,one of the cooler counter service restaurants at any park and now the DD statues which made the ride's theme ultra cool and has anybody thought with the Dragons trashed, the name Dueling Dragons is probably also a thing of the past!!Wonder what the new name will be???

Why do I still have a donkey title???

^No matter what the new name is, I'm going to always refer to it as Dueling Dragons. ;)

How do you like that, IOA? :P

^ I'm sure they'll be sobbing into the piles of money they get from all the Harry Potter fans paying for vacation packages to see the new land.

Yea, I know. I'm happy they'll be getting more vacation packages out of this, since IOA is my favorite park and I only want what's best for it. But thanks for the reply anyway.

Don't know about the one by Jurassic Park, but the one by Seuss Landing hasn't gone anywhere, and I don't see why it would.

Okay I saw this and couldn't resist making a little comic for the dragons in there honor. I saw the blue dragons face and immediately went WHA?! and just thinking about it made me laugh. Now I know it isn't great but maybe it'll cheer some of you up, that or it'll just completely suck-ass. But just look at the blue dragons face when you read what he says.

In beloved memory of the dragons may they rest in peace in a dumpster somewhere.
