Looking really good so far. That is a pretty steep lift hill they're putting up, especially for a B&M. I'm thinking D-back will be the Must-Ride of 2009, much like RFII was this year.
I would rather be off riding coasters!

Steel Top 5 - (1) Skyrush (2) Intimidator 305 (3) Millennium Force (4) Phantom's Revenge (5) Apollo's Chariot
Wood Top 5 - (1) El Toro (2) Voyage (3) Ravine Flyer II (4) Phoenix (5) Shivering Timbers

I am digging the whole color scheme of this ride though what is seriously up with most B&M being either red or blue these days? I mean seriously.

Dive coaster- Red & Yellow.
Griffon- Blue and blue
Diamondback- red and yellow.
Sheikra- Red and blue (well most of BGA now lol what 5 rides?)
The next B&M Dive machine that's track is sitting at the plant.

The layout is really shaping up to be stellar also.

Yea I know it works and all. My only question is what are all these parks thinking when it comes to colors? I guess one would mostly ponder that about Heide park and the "Green and white" land lol.

Seriously though I can't wait to see this ride testing. I mean seeing a dive machine pull off the splash zone is one thing. Seeing a hyper going 40 or so through that is going to look pretty neat. I'd in future time like to see a banked S-curve through a splash zone to create a zig-zag, slithering motion where the water is scooped by 1 side first to create a visual impact.

^I don't think KI chooses the colors of their rides based on what Chimelong Paradise or Busch Gardens Tamprica choose for their rides...up to 4 years removed between release dates too.

Now if KI was pulling a Cedar Point and coloring all of their own rides the same color (like red...) or naming all their rides with the same starting letter (M...), that could be something a little more strange.

I still love this lift hill. And the sloped final brakes. And those are the two most boring parts of a ride typically...

^^That is actually a really great concept! I would love to see that in the future.

Great progress so far on Diamondback, it's starting to shape up.

^^^ I agree,
that would create a much better experience than.. a straight section of track.
It would also create a unique visual impact.
Email B&M, stat! :P

The lift hill is going up up up! Tons of lift pieces in the lot; including the drop...it's going to be VERY sudden! You won't know it's coming!!!

Don't forget,it's up to the parks to determine the color scheme of the finished ride, not B&M...the factory simply paints the track & structure in the requested colors as ordered by the customer.

Dominator recieved a nice new coat of orange & blue this year to replace the original yellow & blue of the SF era so Behemoth wasn't the only one.Still why did KI select the SAME shade of red used on Firehawk?

I'm a culture ho

Eh, what? You'll climb a two hundred-odd foot lift hill and not know a drop is coming? :)
