Black Mamba takes it's theming so seriously, they imported black people to run it!

I'm chatting it up in back with the ride operator:

Image

Operator: "I noticed that your accent is different. You're not from England, right?"

Translation of the conversation: "Man, we work here and we ain't seen no black folks in a looong time. Especially speaking like you... where you from brotha?"

Yep. I said it.

Terry :lmao:

^At least they are being imported to run a roller coaster and not a plantation! You've come a long way Terrance!

There, I said it! :shockr:

<<disclaimer, I love black people, I am not trying to be rude, disrespectful, or stir up drama...I also just found the ride op situation 'interesting' like Terrance mentioned!>>

This B&M donkey is so smooth!

I noticed that, as well, and wondered how they felt about it (and how someone like Terry would feel about it). It didn't seem particularly disrespectful to me, but I'm not really in a position to judge that.

See that's why I like you... tell it gal! I just had to make mention of it, since some people were already whispering it that day.

Terry "I like white people too" Weaver :)

EDIT: Besides you can't help but notice it, since the park was out in the middle of nowhere. But you can tell times has change as you see we've got that mix of people in the picture... notice it's not the "black people bunch up" either... you know what I mean? That is, the only blacks hanging together all the time. That says something.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting sight but didn't bother me. I probably would have been bothered if they had white people running around with bones in their noses. Oh, and in blackface. That would have been a bit much.

More excellent photos Hanno. You captured that exact moment when the pain kicked in on that slide at Schlossbeck. It was a great slide, but it hurt like hell when you came down from the airtime.

I thought the general level of staff appearance was great. I don think there was a normal uniform out there. Everyone looked the part and it really helps immerse you in the theming and idea of where your supposed to be. There were chinese outfits for the area near the hotel and even a simple white coat for one bloke in the mystery tower went a long way.

Hanno - that pic of Talocan with the rainbow is amazing!

^I still remember Hanno's expression when he saw us riding it again. "What? Are you people crazy?"
