Now I finally discovered your fasicination with those stand up drop rides.

Now c'mon! Elissa couldn't have had anything to do with the creation of that ride. Afterall, she's the one with the balls in that family. ;) =)

So everybody rode Michael Jackson? No wonder he's in a wheelchair now.

Thanks Robb for the great laugh at work today over the Bandit photos! I think we all were in severe pain. I do hope to see Steve and Lou's onride dvd again. It's priceless! Oh and thanks Divv for not hurling your Zombie on Bandit as I was sitting right behind you!

And I must confess.

At Phantasialand, they gave us each a couple of VIP Passes, which essentially gave us FastPasses to jump the lines of two rides...

And I used one for riding Michael - by entering through the ..... exit.

And thrillerman1 can verify this, as I became his ride chum for quite the bustin'bronc of a ride that Michael....gave, LOLOL!

Day 7. Part 2 - Schlossbeck

Many photos by Hanno. Some by Robb. Some by that weird yellow creature you'll see later on in this update.
schlossbeck39.jpg
Schlossbeck was this weird park that more like a "playground" and less like an amusement park. It absolutely was the "Klotten" of this trip.

schlossbeck67.jpg
One half of the park looked like this where it was a huge garden area with some of the most awesome deadly "do it yourself" rides you've ever seen!

schlossbeck37.jpg
The highlight of the park is of course the "Nautic Jet" boat jump!
Viewed 10504 times
schlossbeck42.jpg
First you get in, shut the gate, and pull the rope!
Viewed 10504 times
schlossbeck43.jpg
Next your little boat gets pulled up the track and released "Boomerang Style"
Viewed 10504 times
schlossbeck44.jpg
Then you come back down and *FLY* through the air!

SKLOOOSH!!!!

There are two boat jumps here. The second one jumps into the Malaria lake jungle! Good luck Larry! =)

"FINALLY!!! We get a credit on this trip!!!"

The other insane ride here was the near vertical death slide or what we called the "SuicSlide"
Viewed 10504 times
schlossbeck53.jpg
This was pretty much every one's expression on the SuicSlide.

schlossbeck14.jpg
Geez, Jon, do we really need to see that?

schlossbeck15.jpg
Thank you.

schlossbeck33.jpg
Next was this BIZARRE looking thing! If you remember the do-it-yourself upside down ferris wheel from Klotten, this was the same kind of car, but on the ground on a track!

"Houston, we are ready for liftoff!"

Let's head over to the "playground" part of the park for some REAL fun!

Here was the park's mascot (The yellow thing, not Robb.) What is it? It could be an Easter Peep. It could be a ghost that was dipped in urine. Any ideas?!!?

I think there's a dog somewhere under that thing.

I cannot believe we don't have a SINGLE photo of IggyACE getting clocked in the nuts on this scary swing. (We do have video, though!) We'll let him tell that story!

mmmmm Dragon Bar Zombie! One of those deadly drinks like an Adios Mother F***er, Long Island Iced tea, Tokyo Tea, etc... that usually take two or three (if done right) to knock me off my feet.

WAAAAAAAH I'm sad I wasn't able to make it this year on the trip, but the parks visited look fantastic and most of all FUN! Just looking at the pics makes me remember all the great times on all the messed up things that you just can't do in the US.

I feel it should be pointed out in the list of drinks in the Dragon Bar the Zombie was stated to contain a rum which was 73%.

Steve thought it would be a good idea to get me one the next night but it was a different hotel and bar. I didnt feel I had to wait on a bench for some underpaid troll to bring my soul back during the next day so I'm guessing that Phantasialand wanted to make a drink that fits the name.

As for Schlossbeck Im gutted I missed the dark ride - spent the whole time in just half the park thinking there wasnt much on the other side.

And collossus, I didnt like it above the wheels but in the middle of the (6 seater) cars it was a great ride.
((53 + 112 + 17 + 24 + Scandi + Mid America + North East + China so far + other = >4??) - (powered = bah + humbug)) = Happy Fun Time

Ben, I love you. That's all.

Oh, and I too missed the dark ride, hell, I didn't know until just now that there was one!! I thought it was just playground/do-it-yourself stuff on that side and I wasn't really feeling up to that (I'm sick of seeing myself post that phrase already ::x) so I didn't wander over much!
