I'm sure that once everything is running smoothly, the scenery has grown, and the park has built a few more rides, it will be awesome. But think about it, wouldn't it be hard to make a music themed park? A dark ride where guitars would come and hit you? It just doesn't work. Makes it hard to make themed rides. Don't diss it yet

IMHO, the palm trees are way over-trimmed.

I worked in the landscaping business, and some of the palms they planted are very slow growers and could take 3-4 years to look healthy and full.

Big mistake to trim them as much as they did

Just thought I'd add this... I really hope they put the Flitzer indoors. At first I thought it was a joke that Jarmor had inserted into the photos. Guess not...

When I first saw it I was like :?r and thought a carnival just left but when I saw people walking from inside the park to that area I went back and realize it opens up to the area where the kids rides are. I started thinking it was something for an employee event. Then I confirmed it with an employee that it was indeed a part of the park. I really dont think they will enclose it. I honestly dont think it's gonna stick around. I still think that is a perfect area for a water ride or a kids based show. People were complaining that it wasnt anything for kids to do at the park all day. The only things the park have are playground style attractions scattered around for kids. I would have expected something a little more than themed around music than what they will have. Like a music themed dumbo style attraction or a kids dark ride. Hopefully the future see's that!

I notice that when they were constructing. Im guessing the track will move foward and a small LIM will propell the ride down the drop. But we would probably never see that happen and they will have to remove this premature concept in favor of a elevator lift lol lol (just kidding)

Well it looks nice. It also looks like there's a plenty of room for expansion because for the moment, it doesn't look like there is that much to do.

But I guess if people keep going, they will keep adding things to do. But overall, not bad for a park built in 2 years.

It's like DCA all over again, kids rides are limited and mostly are playground attractions. Well, at least they tried to theme the place, it comes off a little like a Paramount Park, well themed in some places, others not so much...

Eh...It looks decent. I really hope they add some more "green-ery" and add more attractions. There doesn't seem to be that much to do. What rides are located in the 70's section? The Moody Blues dark ride does look ace though.

In some ways, Hard Rock Park "feels" much like Alabama Adventure and
Wild West World, but with better rides and themeing. There are some
Fashion Island/california shopping mall nuances as well, with even a
little Magic Mountain spanish flavor thrown in near the front entrance.

It'll be better once the trees grow in, the bush thickens, and there's
something to get you wet. No water rides is a curious call, but good for
HRP using covered q's. My gut still says they'll get both water park expansion and rapids in the next couple years.

Anywho, A great TR and congrats on being a part of music AND TPR
history.

Geesh what more were you expecting from a park being built from the ground up and not covered by a theme park chain? :?r

I mean this sneak peek was MUCH more promising than that Wild West Park that open then closed in like 3 days lol!

Sooo true, I was at Wild West World when it opened.

That slow brown Vekoma at this park is already better than anything at WWW

I have no idea how you can compare WWW and HRP

Wild West World had about 10 themed (small) buildings and a handful of carnival rides.

It was just beyond bad.

The park needs an updated version of the classic game show Name That Tune as an attraction, much like what Disney achieved with Millionaire.

Also, I like the idea of the concert series included with admission. George Clinton & Parliament/Funkadelic - May 23rd. Hells yeah!
