dandaman
...Betcha $10 you've already skipped to the first picture. Keeping with tradition of abrupt endings, my final shot is of "one-armed" Skyhawk. Never knew it had strobes etc. on the bottom. Thanks for reading. Regrettably, I did NOT take my tripod this time around. Jacuzzis aren't as relaxing when you have to bathe in 2 parts embalming fluid and entrails to 1 part Lake Erie water. ...Better! Good... Lowlight of the day: Waiting 45 minutes for the Lumber Rumbler. Didn't go. Heard it wasn't too good. And "not too good" doesn't prompt me to partake in a 90-minute queue. ...Was this already in the ride graveyard last year? The majestic winged rat waits its turn to help repaint Raptor's supports. Bob Ross' famous "Happy Trees" paintings have declined in happiness in recent years. ...But why were those test dummies on the Sky Ride in the first place? I think I saw "Mean Streak -- 1991-2008" in there somewhere. Assuredly the homepage of ten thousand fanboys. Despite their very creative headgear, neither of them managed to fool the height checker. Snoopy in the process of grabbing his crotch and doing his "early Linkin Park" impression. ...Or the "Wazzup!" monster? Which is the better float: Poly-clops... I actually think they stole some ECV's for them to drive around. I SO want their job. "I have a big head... and little arms... I just don't think this plan was thought through very well!" Reportedly Tony of T&T fame was driving the hearse. I zoomed in and can't see much resemblance. OK... if you don't know if you have T.H.O., the SUN GLARE might clue you in. We stood right by Wes' evil pet to watch the new parade. Overall it was a lot better than my low(ered) expectations. Catchy music, too. The monorail had a consistent half-hour wait. This tangled mess of track is brought to you by McDonald's. "McDonald's: Globally Tested, Elissa Approved!" Despite all the breakdowns of the day and the 2-hour line to turn right onto Cleveland Road (seriously, it was just your typical traffic starting right after that turn), the lines themselves weren't bad. Even TTD was 45 minutes. ...Well, since I have no other caption, I should tell you now that Maverick was down the whole day. (Trains were on the actual circuit, however.) C'mon! Even the Midwest people got on in 8 hours! 100x more awesome, but only slightly scarier than my physics exam. Is there any particular reason behind this ride's "radioactive Hi-Liter" station lights at night? My friend in the red sweatshirt. Beats the Man in the Yellow Hat any day. (Reportedly, lady in last row kept screaming, "OH MY GAWD, WE GON' WIN THE RACE!") Despite his best efforts, Jeff's idea of "incognito" did not work as well as hoped. Obligatory Day-Glo sign shot. (It took us two hours to get here... from the GWL Steak 'n Shake. If you've ever been, you know how insane that is.) Luckily, that's all moving east/away from us. Unfortunately, the 60-degree weather still stays (though it was pleasant the whole day, in 2 layers and jeans).
CoasterWarriors
Great shots! I am looking forward to come to Cedar Point after 2 years disappearing and touching other parks. Â I'm heading up there on October 19th and 20th to participate with CoasterBuzz.com for their annual BooBuzz 2007 roller coaster enthuastic event. I'm looking forward to ride on Maverick and we have 1 hour ERT on Maverick and I hope it doesn't rain on that day either. I am also planning to go to Kings Island and ride on the Son of Beast which is one of two missing credits... I'm wondering if it is as painful as Hurler at Carowinds. Hurler should called "Hurt-a-lot!" Â Anyone going to BooBuzz on the 20th of October? Let me know... maybe we can meet up!
dandaman
^You're a TPR presence for Maverick ERT; there will inevitably be a giant wall cloud coming off the Bay to promptly end said ERT.
