JimmyBo
Well, first off I have to say thank you to Robb and Elissa for an awesome time in Spain and Mini-Europe trip. You guys really know how to put on a great trip. Thanks to everyone that went on the trip and everyone I got to know. You all rock! As for those of you that didn't go on the trip...you suck! (just kidding) Day 0 and Day 1: Flying to Madrid sucked. That pretty much sums up the flight. Iberia had the worst customer service on an airline I have ever experienced. Next time I think I'll take a boat over rather than fly with Iberia. Madrid was a culture shock for me. Everyone was so "nice" and ordering at McDonald's was a trip report in itself. The scenery was pretty amazing and the cars made me laugh. They are so sad and pathetic it's awesome. There's nothing more I love than hearing a car sound like a lawn-mower and barely make it up a hill. Isla Magica: Although not a coaster heavy park this place was quite nice. A surprise ERT session in the morning was a good way to start off the trip. Ok, enough blah blah blah...onto the photos. Back to Madrid... Remeber how I said Ryan was asleep the first 2 days...here you go. I look at his camera for 2 minutes and I turn around and he's passed out. We even made a friend at the station! Back to the train station we go to head back to Madrid Larry and Ryan ride the XXX barrel and nearly puke. If you want to ride a tea cup and puke then ride with Larry Rapids was fairly decent (Sorry Rich for cutting your face off...actually not really) Mel enjoying the gum wall at the rapids ride No update is complete without a Big Mike photo. Mike sporting his El Toro shirt infront of El Toro They had other water rides which were nice to cool off on The beginnings of the yellow hat club The log flume was amazing. We shoved 6 people in a boat and we got soaked! Observation Tower...I mean Drop Tower Nice kiddie area Everyone loves the come come place BOOTY! They had Jonny Depp theming for their new Pirate shooting ride. Hey Big Mike...I BEAT YOU! Hector and Jon don't look too excited about what they have gotten themselves into Complete with SLC with BONUS HELIX! And why is it that the helix is the smoothest part of the ride? Isla Magica, first park of the trip Hey, the sun decided to join us today. And he never left because it was only like 102 that day Bullet Speed Hauling "I Wanna Go Fast" Trains I think it's safe to say that the train station was beautiful. I mean...damn! Robb giving his early morning speech before we head to Isla Magica They even have some random radio tower you can base jump off of Yep, this is Madrid...cool huh? First thing to notice in our hotel...SPANISH SIMPSONS! Our last sight of the states before we head over seas... "Iberia, where you fly comfortable" They may need to change their slogan to "Iberia, we hate you all!" Sweet, the Rockies! They still have snow on them Within 5 minutes Ryan was out. For those of you not on the trip Ryan was pretty much alseep the entire first 2 days because he's a lazy bum Gotta love the San Diego fog American flying out of San Diego, it was only 30min delayed unlike others

JimmyBo
Day 2: Parque De Atraciones Madrid. I must say that I was very surprised at this park. Abismo was actually very good. Tarantula was INSANE! I loved the Jungle Cruise and SMall World rips offs. And who could forgot the Tuna and Bacon Pizza. Plus, you drink 2 liters of beer and you get a free hat! One awesome note. Police Officer Rich survived Spanish First Aid! Watch the video! Thanks to Carl for some additional photos! Rich.wmv Rich is an idiot! Rich.zip Zip file of Rich going to Spanish First Aid But now it's time to go cuz too much beer has made me tired... Be sure to check out Rich's trip to Spanish First Aid video YAY! Free hat after 2 liters of beer makes me and little man happy There's the rest of the TPR crew going into Desperado...that thing had no words to describe it It's a rapids ride where a cat was the ride operator! Speaking of water rides...what's that over there? First of many pictures where the wall of water covers the boat. SPain had some awesome water rides I might add Awesome castle scenery for a splash down boat ride They had a Frisbee too which had a pretty weak program Larry, Ryan, and Rich enjoy swinging Swings where it felt as if your feet were going to hit the trees This pirate ship had an awesome view...people making out on the grass below and the guy giving the girl the shocker. NO JOKE! Sweet Aviators Ryan...you alseep yet? For being my first none launching Intamin invert I was quite impress. Photo by Carl Vertical Loop full of supports and Derek's little men Next up, an Intamin inverted looping "I have way too many supports!" coaster Suspended swinging action for those that like to be underneath Another Kiddie Credit. Thanks Bruno! Photo by Carl Train full of TPRers thrilled and excited out of their minds Kiddie Credit thanks to Zamperla. Hey Bruno! Even crazy raccoon thing approves of Abismo Over banked turn! (Insert Car Here) I wasn't a fan of G-Force at Drayton but this first element on Abismo was insane Vertical lift of DOOM! Pretty much a compact layout with a punch. The station fly through was cool Abismo...it goes down! Spin baby Spin! It towers over the surrounding terrain and then plummits into a tunnel mid course This thing hauls @$$! It doesn't spin as much as Dragon's Fury but this thing flys through the track ERT on Tarantula was amazing and Mel even sang the special ERT song. WOOT! Photo by Carl Before they let us in we walked around the park to get some shots of the rides. JimmyBo
Day 3: Zaragoza with the awesome Bouncy Bouncy ride. This park was a HUGE surprise. Bouncy Bouncy kicked butt especially after dinner, the mini log ride was different and Carl still has a bruise where he hit his head, and Ramses has no words to describe it. Old man Jeff was at true credit whoring fashion at the park today. Check out the video for proof! Thanks to Carl for additional Photos Jeff.wmv Grandpa Whoring it up! Jeff.zip Zip version of the Whore at work! And thus...the yellow hat club begins! Be sure to check out Jeff's credit whoring video! Log Flume had to wait...it was all about Bouncy Bouncy that night The top Spin is all "Come ride me, I'm not as cool as the Bouncy Bouncy but I'm still here" Now there's top speed. Seriously, this thing was messed up and great at the same time Blurry and not even at top speed yet It was awesome we rode it into the night This is Bouncy Bouncy senior in all it's glory After dinner was the mission for Bouncy Bouncy...this is Bouncy Bouncy junior Complete with a side of fly What's an update without a Big Mike pic? Here's Mike and his food Raft ride that was probably the FASTEST I've ever been on Crazy Galaxi style ride that really hauls around those helices Yay! Another credit and Big Mike approves! Zaragoza...where kids can fly and parents crap their pants Freaky Haunted House ride and Steve even came back without a bruise on his arm this time! While Rich runs into mirrors and glass things. Way to go Rich! Mel getting a good workout on her abs and balancing skills Rich was smart and ran through it this time Holy crap, he agreed to it. Off to the wheel of Doom Oh my god, is that a funhouse? Rich, wunna do the funhouse again and the wheel of doom? This place had some unique rides to it Mini Midget Meh Log Ride...hey Carl, how's your head? TPRers having fun on this wicked crazy ride Photo by Carl Here's the layout...it truly beats a B&M Hyper all the way! JimmyBo
Day...I already lost count... Port Aventura Part 1! This was by far the best park (in my opinion) of the trip. This thing had amazing scenery, friendly staff, great food, sweet coasters and really uniques attractions. Plus, the yellow hat club was born and Port Aventura will never be the same! Check out the video of the yellow hat club getting stuck on Diablo! Thanks to Carl for additional photos! Diablo.wmv Yellow Hat Club gets stuck on Diablo Diablo.zip Zip file of Yellow Hat Club getting stuck on Diablo This park had some nice scenery Time to take the 1mph train around the park One dry spot on me Photo by Carl HOLY CRAP! I'm all wet Photo by Carl Now you don't. Oh, and not to mention that you get soaked going up the lift hill from this splash Including the best Spalsh down boat ever created...Now you see it... Grand Canyon Raft ride...again I say that Spain had some awesome water rides Mel gets her ride on with a horse They even had armadillas What's an update without Big Mike! Here ya go Mike! Wow, Larry's really happy! Boat ride full of happy people While Larry plays with the pecker of wood Rich checks out his Chinese heritage TPRers excited to not have to ride the green train Look how it penetrates the loop...HOT! Zero G Bitch Slap Roll into the trees Vertical Loopage of goodness and none Green Train Rich and Mel are super excited about riding Dragon Khan Photo by Carl Dragon Khan, AWESOME! Diablo, where the yellow hat club nearly died! Scenery was pretty cool. Reminded me of Apocolypto without all the blood and guts everywhere Just say I love Cuddle Fish...wait...WTF! EEEEEWWWW Cuddle Fish Photo by Carl Just say I love Crepes...or really thin pancakes. I think that's a fair compromise Mmmmmmm Time for food and this park had amazing food at a pretty good price Condor had 3 different ride styles: 1)Sit and Shake 2) Sit, tilt and get a birds eye view if you jump to your death 3) Crush your balls or for the ladies, Crush your baby maker Blue sun...that can't be good Drop Tower. WATCH YOUR FEET! Larry, Rich, Ryan and Carl all enjoying it way too much Spin and puke ride with a Mexican theme Temple of Fire, this thing was hot...and so is this picture THANK YOU CARL FOR THE PHOTO! To this day I still don't know it's purpose but everyone looks thrilled Yeah, this ride was next OH MY GOD! It's the Yellow Hat Monster...save your children, she's a teacher! Geeky Coaster Shot cuz I haven't had one in this update yet. I see you Trim Brake "Normal Train" Hey Police Officer Rich, how's your middle finger? "Special Train" Stampida! JimmyBo
Port Aventura Part 2 Furious Bacon...I must say that I had the opportunity to ride this ride on the inside my first 2 times. But after hearing how much worst the outside was I had to try it. I'll put it this way...the outside seats on Furious Bacon is like lying on a bed and having a fat lady jump on top of you and then jackhammer your spine. It was pretty rough. Anyway, I must say this...I think Port Aventura's show at night was probably the best night show I have seen. I liked it more than Epcot's show. This park was all around amazing and it was a whole new experience at night Thanks to Carl for additional photos The next morning I give the TPR b*tch a wake up call before we head to Tibidabo Photo by Carl So we end our stay at Port Aventura...Carl, Ryan and I have a pint to end the day Best part about Spain...I got the most food and it was the cheapest. Ryan and Carl got less food than me and Mike and theirs was the most expensive. HA! ANyway...great food AND BEER! Chinese Theater at night Condor lights up the sky with it's massive tower Nighttime...so pretty At least Rich and Mel are having fun for the launch These guys just rode the outside Bacon with Condor in the background Like butter So relaxing going over the water Hey Cedar Point Fanboys...where's your inline twist? That's what I thought...GONE! Pray to the Intamin Gods to not break down! Photo by Carl Here's the trains...inside = good, outside = emergency room Some of the characters were yellow hat approved! Again, walking up once you to wish that this is a good ride This ride had a very nice entry way and I can't wait till the grapes are ripe enough so they can make Furios Baco wine! Furious Bacon! JimmyBo
Tibidabo and Bar-tha-lona Tibidabo was a surprise and the bus ride there was an even more of a surprise. Just think of the smallest road with the most curves on it and throw in a huge cliff off the side of it...that was the road we took to get there. I must say that this park has an amazing view. I didn't get many pictures from this park but I will never forget the view. I think it has to be the best view at any park I've visited. Aside from that, it truly had some messed up rides like plane on a stick and skyscraper turned observation scraper. Anyway, this park seems like a challenge made in RCT...it was 6 levels on a hillside complete with glass elevator. Great park Don't forget to check out the Ghetto Galaxi video Bar-tha-lona. WAY different than Madrid. Prettier, busier and smoggier. Larry was our tour guide and he showed us many sights and sounds. The Cathedral was amazing! Onto the pic Tibidabo.wmv Ghetto Galaxy at Tibidabo Tibidabo.zip Zip file of Ghetto Galaxy We get back and what do we find on TV? Spanish South Park! Luckily we found John and his master Spanish speaking skills help us get back and on the right train Holy Crap...where are we going again? After Rich and I found a Co-Ed bathroom it was time to head back to the hotel Here's the group that didn't get mugged or robbed. Larry did a good job leading us around. ...with English movies Spainish Movie Theater! This is why...mmmmm, gelato No No means Yes Yes...why you ask? HARLEY'S!!!!! Here's the chair in case you missed it Cloud and a Chair...some people call this artwork. I call it poop Yum Yum! YES! FOOD! What a bunch of American Tourists Ok, you win! Where to next Larry? Some people are what you call...addicts to Starbucks Can't even escape it here in Spain Still under construction Ryan infront of this enormous masterpiece of engineering and design Larry making up some random crap he read out of a book Where old meets the New The backside The Cathedral still under construction for the past 110 years Bar-tha-lona's Times Square complete with the Hooters Owl! Here, the neighbors compete for weirdest looking house in Spain. They both win for being typical Spainards A group of us head down the streets of Bar-tha-lona Looks like Ryan's ready to head to Bar-tha-lona Did I mention that this park was owned by a church which was right outside the entrance! SPLOOSH! Only 4 in a boat this time Log ride just sitting alongside the mountain The glass elevator just like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...only its real! Another random ride a couple levels down. This place would be great if I had water balloons Pirate Ship a couple levels down Scary Plane on a crane ride It's Ghetto because...well...just look at it! Don't forget to check out the video! Ghetto Galaxi with the best view on any coaster I've ridden Here's the top portion of Tibidabo

JimmyBo
Terra Mitica First off, the 5 star resort we stayed at was amazing. I think once the Intamin curse has worn off the Balls Coaster I might go back out there and stay in this resort. It was amazing. Terra Mitica was a well themed park with some pretty good rides. There was plenty of ERT at this park and they had a very unique "indoor" raft ride. Pretty cool. This is the park where the yellow hat club was...well...the yellow hat club. Be sure to check out the video! Thanks to Carl for additional photos Yellow Hat Club.wmv Yellow Hat Club invades Terra Mitica Yellow Hat Club.zip Zip file of The Yellow Hat Club invades Terra Mitica Now it's time for the yellow hat club to leave Terra Mitica Be sure to check out the awesome video Photo by Carl And it has a great view Amazing Did I mention this place has some awesome scenery Photo by Carl Missed credit and looks like I'll have to come back Then Kristie gives Ryan the "Punch in the abs let's go" Photo by Carl Ryan trys to dry off until Big Mike pushes him off the wall Photo by Carl There are some interesting faces going on in this photo Photo by Carl Again...where's the boat? Happy people about to drop to their doom Photo by Carl Decent drop tower. We all came off with our feet so it was good The "Holy Crap What the Hell" part of the ride First drop of smoothness and goodness Something's wrong here...it looks like RObb is having more fun than James on an SLC. WTF? Photo by Carl Next was ERT on their SLC minus the bonus helix Wow, this is like a myspace photo without the mirror...creepy More happy TPRers Group of happy TPRers enjoying a nice break The park put out a nice spread for us before we headed off to more ERT. And that's Fanta not orange juice. Fanta in Spain is so much better than the states...just ask Rich and Mel as they smuggled 8 liters back into the states Ryan and Larry give it yellow hat thumbs up Not a bad ride...it had a double down but just pretty slow Looks like they all are ready to ride. And too bad for Ben coasters will be the only thing he rides all trtip...save that one condom for the next trip Then ERT on their wood Not a bad ride...I like the outward facing ones more...Oh no!! Blue sun again! Ok, onto Terra Mitica. We started off the day with ERT on this thing This place is like a city in itself Did I mention golf course and amazing view? One of the four pools...this one was relaxing at night Big Mike checking out the view Stainglass Atrium...check Relaxing chairs outside on the balcony...check A nice walkway into the room to outside the balcony...check Huge room with two double beds and a couch with walk-in closet and enormous bathroom...check First up, let's check out the resort Photo by Carl Here we are...park alongside a mountainside
