SharkTums Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 LOL! Great Report... I love when security tells you something and it's so obviously wrong. I remember the same thing with Dragster: Security Guard: "the rides not going to open today" Us: "that's okay we'll wait" Security Guard: "that's pretty stupid, why don't you go ride something else" Us: "We've ridden everything else" Security Guard: "ok, but I told you so!" <> 3 hours later we got on the ride! Security guard actually came up to us later and said that he knew the ride was going to open but was told to tell people it wouldn't. WHATEVER!
coasterdude5 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Great TR! I looked at that picture and was like what!? An arrow??
denning Posted July 28, 2005 Author Posted July 28, 2005 The order got reversed on the pictures. Hence me making fun of scott, after already saying he was wrong.
coasterdude5 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Yea it seemed like thay were backwards, but it was still funny! BTW, this is probably a stupid question, but what's the difference between a boomerang and cobra roll. Is it that in a boomerang, the "half loops" aren't slanted out? Just wondering...
coaster1 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Boomerang is Vekoma's name for the inversion really and Arrow's .. Cobra Roll is B&M's term for the inversion ... there's really no difference in them, and compaines/parks will use either one now.
coasterdude5 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 That's what I thought I just wanted to make sure!
denning Posted July 28, 2005 Author Posted July 28, 2005 The apparently failed joke is that if you looked straight out the station and all you saw was the cobra roll, it would appear to be a "bommerang"-type shuttle coaster from vekoma. Which aren't nearly as much fun as a B&M floorless. Usually the vekoma's are called bommerang, the bat, the "coast-to-coaster" or something to effect.
