wow I remember when that thing was new and I waited 90 minutes for it. I wouldn't do that now, but at one point in time it was fairly modern. Eh, I hope its an upgrade unlike Nicktoons which was basically just a retheme of the Hanna Barbera attrction...

Good to the last drop

I won't really miss the ride that much. Simulators in general never really did it for me.

I liked the theme of the ride and the use of the OMNIMAX screen. Unfortunately, the ride left much to be desired.

I'm sad... it was rough, but the theme and OMNIMAX was worth enduring the beating the ride provided.

When the ride first opened I was really excited. In fact, it was the ONLY reason I wanted to go to Universal that year. Sadly, over time it got boring, rough, and dated. We knew the day would come, and the inner child in me is sad to see it go. As others have said, I just hope whatever replaces it isn't just another simulator. They had their time in the light, that was in the 1990s. Still it would have been nice if Universal had given a more official announcement more than a month before closing.
All clear....

Dispatch, enjoy your ride.

I'm going to miss the 85 pre-shows.

If only there were a version close enough for me to see from my apartment balcony or the window at work. :P

I have been hearing from a number of people that the props from the attraction might end up on E-Bay... I am *so* buying a hoverboard or a flux capacitor if they do!

I know this ride had a reputation as being bad and uncomfortable, but I have to say I am a bit upset to see it go before I have a chance to ride it. Back to the Future was the first movie that I ever really loved, and it is still one of my favorites to this day. I have always wanted to go on the ride. I remember sometime around 4th grade I went on a trip to Disney World with my family. We were not going to Universal, and in the Orlando airport there was a big cutout of Marty and Doc advertising the ride. I was quite upset about not getting to ride it.

Central Florida is in the typical summer weather pattern. Beautiful in the morning and early afternoon. Mid to late afternoon is when the Thunderstorms roll in. Most of the time they're over in about 30 minutes minutes, 1 hour max.

It'll be this way until later this month, early October.
