Hattuchili Posted July 17, 2006 Author Posted July 17, 2006 Soren, I'll be down there at the end of August. Might see you in one of the German shops? Let me know when you are coming! I hope I will be there to meet you! Anyway, it looks like this is a good thread! I really like to visit he different hotels and see the different themings there! BeemerBoy, thanks for your post about the newspaper, that is awesome! --Sören
DerekRx Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Nice job so far, Soren! I'll be down at Disney again next weekend, but I'm only doing the Magic Kingdom this time around, staying at the Polynesian, one of the few hotels I've yet to stay at. So far I agree, Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge are probably my 2 favorite resorts at Disney, though if they had monorail service they'd be even better! Their pools are fantastic!
Coaster Palooza Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 This is a great thread Soren! I am really enjoying the reviews and pictures. Thanks for doing this.

thefitness Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I love this thread! Disney Resorts are Awesome! Nice Pictures too!
Hattuchili Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 Disney´s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Hey guys, here is a new PTR from another Disney Resort, the Saratoga Springs! I was there last week and it was really good! I took a Disney Transportation bus from Downtown Disney to the resort! That only needed a few minutes! There we needed to finde the right bus station, because the area is really huge! They have the Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Saratoga Springs Villas! They are doing alot there at the moment! They are building a bunch of new Villas there! Anyway, at the main bus station is also the main building of the resort. There you´ll find a nice quickservice restaurant, the Artist´s Palette. The food was amazing! Then we walked to the pool area which is beside the Artist´s Palette. It looks so nice there and we had a day with only a few guests there! We saw a nice thing there, one of the lifeguards was playing wit a few little kids in the pool. He made some games and the kids were so happy. It was the first time I saw something like that, but it is typical Disney! Okay, enough of that, here are the pics: --Sören ... The Artist´s Palette ... ... To the end some night shots... I have won the games, hehe! ... we had a lot of fun! The Arcade is a nice place... Beside the hot tub area He is so cute... Donald is also here! in the background can you see the Artist´s Palette. ... the pool Back to the pool area, they also have a nice slide there! The Lobby I like the theming here. View of the pool area from the main building! Oh hi, nice to meet you... We made it. Resort Map ... the Saratoga Springs Resort. Here we are...
Hattuchili Posted August 8, 2006 Author Posted August 8, 2006 Disney´s Coronado Springs Hey everyone, I think it is time for a new PTR. A few weeks ago I spend a day at the Coronado Springs Resort! It was really fantastic there! I like the theming, it looks like a Resort that combines the beauty, fantasy and unique cultural elements of colonial Spain, Mexico and New Mexico. From the colorful spring-fed Fountain of the Doves to the hidden treasures of the Mayan-ruin themed Dig Site pool. I really enjoyed the pool area! You feel like you are sitting in a pool in a old Maya-ruin! The waterslide there is also a blast! The kids enjoy it there the whole day! Beside the pool you will find enough space to relax or play Beach-Vollyball. Here are some pictures: --Sören Thanks for reading! The Lobby. ... The hotel area in the night! ... The pool area in the evening! The Volleyball area! ... A part of Germany at the Coronado Springs. ... I also enjoyed it. The watersilde! ... ... ... ... The pool area. ... ... ... CoasterFanatic Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Thanks again, Soren, for the great Photo TRs. Catrina and I are currently planning a honeymoon partially on Diz property and the tour is going to really come in handy. // has never seen most of these resorts
TheGreatOne Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I'll also throw in my thanks for this thread and I hope to see more! I've only stayed on the el=cheapo All-Star Music Resort (High schoool band trip), and I'd like to stay at some of these nicer ones. Wilderness Lodge is probably my first choice.
thefitness Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 awww I liked this thread maybe these pics will inspire people to keep posting here. mini Contemporary Resort update. I love Disney=] Giant Mural surrounds the elevators Shops on the main floor of The Tower Chef Mickeys...Great Character Resturant Disney's Contemporary Resort
obeygiant Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I miss the contemporary. I haven't stayed there for a while. Usually we just go to there to take the monorail to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. It's alot easier than trying to park at either Magic Kingdom or Epcot.
mcjaco Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 This thread actually led to my wife and I doing a mini Soren resort trip this past week. We went to Animal Kingdom Lodge, Polynesian, Gradn Floridian and the Contemporary. It was another fun thing to do for a couple of hours.
RRollergod Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Hey Soren, I am going to be around disney for a week come around New Years. I forgot what day I will be at epcot but I will see you because I missed you last spring.
Hattuchili Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 Hey guys, first of all I am sorry that I had no time to post more pictures! I was at a few other resorts in the last month and have all the pictures on my computer! I will post them all in the next days/weeks! Last night I was in the Animal Kingdom Lodge! I really had a wonderful night and the room was great! On Page 1 (Update Animal Kingdom Lodge) I posted a few new pictures from there! So, enjoy and more is coming soon! --Soren
yodathefrog Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I stayed at Saratoga Springs this past December and absolutely loved it. Very nice place...especially Artist's Palette!
Hattuchili Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 Hey guys, I know I wanted to post more pictures, but the last month at Disney were so busy for me and I had no time to post something here. Now I am back in Germany and I have all the great pictures from the resorts I have visited there at WDW. From now I will post all the other pictures, so keep looking. Disney´s Port Orleans - French Quarter: So, another resort I spend a night with my girl friend. This hotel is really nice. It looks like a little town, wit all the cute streets and the street names. Everywhere you find trees and nice quiet places to relax. We had a standard room and that was more than enough. The restaurant we tried there was a quick service restaurant, called Sassagoula. It was filled wit all the stuff you find at every Disney restaurant. The nice thing is you can take a boat to Downtown Disney. It needs around 20 minutes on a nice waterway. I think the boats are also running every 20 minutes and you are having 3 stops at Downtown Disney (Market Place, Pleasure Island and West Side). Onto some pictures: --Soren The end - Make sure to come back for the next hotel report. ... ... King-size bed Welcome to our room The theming inside The restaurant ... The boats From here you can take the boat to Downtown Disney ... With a water slide at the end ... Welcome to the pool The way to the pool ... Nice view Street names are also on the street on the way to the pool I like the theming The street names ... The area Port Orleans map The way from the Lobby to the pool The Lobby Welcome Port Orleans - French Quarter
dandaman Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Yes! French Quarter! Probably my favourite hotel, right after Wilderness Lodge. Did you find all the Hidden Mickeys in the room?
Hattuchili Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 ^ I also really liked it there, but I need to be honest - I was not looking for the hidden mickeys. --Soren
stingrock23 Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 I'm loving this TR. Port Orleans is the next on my list to stay. The theming is pretty dead on, including the street names on the sidewalks. The only real difference is that it's much, much cleaner than down here in the real New Orleans.
Wes Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 I loved French Quarter, but I think Riverside is even nicer! FQ does have the beignets, which are godly. The Moderate hotels are all really nice and still a good price. Can't wait for more Soren!
Penguin Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 I have to say that I love Port Orleans as well. Even though I like both, I have to go with French Quarter being my favorite. I also agree about the beignets. I can't get enough of those.
Hattuchili Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 I really liked it there and I would deffinitely go back there. I think I will post the next hotel tomorrow... --Soren
disneygurlz2s Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 ^ I also really liked it there, but I need to be honest - I was not looking for the hidden mickeys. ^Given the fact that you stayed there with your very lovely girlfriend, this comment just made me crack up!! I have alway wanted to stay at PO. We were supposed to stay at PO Riverside in September 2001, but our trip was changed due to 9/11. Seeing the beautiful layout and themeing, I may have to seriously consider it for a future visit. Shari
thefitness Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 YAY! This thread is back! Port Orleans is definitely among my favorite Disney Resorts. I haven't stayed there in a while and these pictures brought back some good memories. That water slide is one of my favorite parts!
