I personally like the Skywarp Horizon, and it seems like it would be more economical than the other two models for sale. I can literally imagine a whole area of some theme park with all three models

While it might be the cheapest to build, I think eclipse is the easiest to manage and might be cheaper to operate. Eclipse is the only model with a single platform with only one entrance and exit. Everything else will have two separate stations, and two lines, or a split.

Great Alan Schilke interview! Bonus points since it was totally on the fly.

lol! Thanks! It really was! That whole live stream obviously was completely unedited and impromptu in every way! Honestly, I think I liked doing that WAY better than the old style of going around and asking everyone questions which they mostly cannot answer.

But in the live video interview, Skyline said that the Horizon had the option of running a single train--eliminating the possibility of separate loading platforms.

Hey everyone! So to wrap up our IAAPA coverage here are 50 more totally random images and one video from the show! I apologize that there aren't any captions for them as we are in the middle of going from IAAPA to Free Play Florida (Retrogaming expo here in Orlando) to Las Vegas! It's been a crazy week and I'd rather post these photos without captions than not, so here goes...

If you have any questions about them, just ask!

Thanks for all the great coverage!!!

As much as I love the look, and idea of the new SkyCoaster harness... I think I would still prefer the old one. There's just something about laying there, face down that seems a bit more intimidating to me. These new harness seems a little more... bulky? (maybe) than the previous ones which might take away that "OMG! I feel like there is nothing holding me in!" feeling!!

That being said, I'll still give the new one a try to see what it's like!

Keep in mind that it's not there to replace the current one, it's there as an "option" for those people who may be too freaked out to go face first.

I didn't look at it like that. But now that you mention it, I think it's awesome that they are bringing these out as an option for those who might be to freaked out by the other harnesses. It gives more people the chance to experience the amazingness that a skycoaster is!!

Honestly, I think I liked doing that WAY better than the old style of going around and asking everyone questions which they mostly cannot answer.

I liked the response better because of that. By asking Alan questions about already completed projects you got answers on the length of certain projects, how many iterations a design can take, his favorite coaster element, etc., etc.. You probably get none of that information if your asking the usual, “What is your current project?” or “Can you tell us what you will be working on in the future?” Really enjoyed the interview, thanks for making it happen.

I mean, based on that promotional video, you'll be going face-down when you pull the rip cord anyway, so...

In case it hasn't been said enough, Robb, Elissa, thanks for all the fantastic coverage you've been providing for us of this year's event. I am very excited for everything coming down the pipe and this has helped tremendously with the "off-season" depression!

(Yeah yeah I know, there's no such thing as an off-season with HITP and Orlando... you know what I mean.)
