It was our final night at Oktoberfest and of course took a few more rides on Olympia Looping! This really is one of the best roller coasters in the world!

while I miss the classic Robb "Loop-de-loop!".... since yer on Olympia Looping, "LOOPING!!" works great.

and the idiot grin I hear when Robb goes "wheeeeeee". . . that you can still get so much joy from riding coasters after all this time?

THAT is why I love TPR, and watching only your vids.

looks like y'all had a blast.

It is basically the best park on earth for 16 days. Think about it

1. Six coasters that are all rather good

2. 30+ Flatrides

3. Plenty of funhouses , including the Teufelsrad and the slide of death

4.Beergardens all over

5. The beer carousel

6. Oh yeah, beer, tents that can hold combined 119000 people and crazy music and dancing.

7. Every Flatride is there own nightclub

8. Olympia Looping/Alpine Bahn

9. Oh yeah, more beer

10. Bratwurst.

i forgot about food after all that beer, lol, thanks for reminding me

10.Bratwurst

11, Händl(chicken)

12 Bretzel of course

13.Currywurst

14.Spätzle(Noodle with cheese dish)

15.,,,and all the desert dishes which are to many to mention

16. Sexy Girls in Dirndl

17. Cool guys in Lederhosen

18. The garden with drunk guys passing out

19. The After Partys

20. Realising that you are at the best party on earth

21. No queues. I think Olympia Looping gets through something like 2800pph?

So we did "culture day" to Neuschwanstein Castle today! Walt Disney's inspiration for the Disney Parks castles!

And of course one final day at Oktoberfest!

Which means one final ride on the beer carousel!

And we closed out our visit with Olympia Looping!

But not before Nolan put balls in his mouth...

I'm really going to miss this coaster. I really hope it sticks around Oktoberfest for many many years.

Check out this amazing view from the exit of Hollenblitz!

Looks like you guys are having an incredibly amazing time. Your photo of Neuschwanstein Castle there is stunning. You all must have had great weather that day.

Hope you have a great rest of your trip!

September weather in Germany is usually pretty good, hence, why Oktoberfest is mostly held in September as come Oktober, it goes downhill pretty fast.

Oktoberfest is all about crowds, average year for 16 days is 6.7 Million people, this year they are way above that so far. If you have problems with crowds, it might be not be for you. Keep in mind that it is massive in size, so it does not feel you are squeezed in or anything close like that, but it is busy.

Yeah the crowds are not bad at all, especially mid-week. Even on the busiest Saturday, which we were at the fair during, we only waited 10 minutes or so per ride. If you don't do well with crowds I'd say go to the fair Mon-Thurs and you'll find crowds much less and far more manageable than your typical theme park visit.

I went on it the other day. Strangely I thought I knew about the German fairs pretty well, but never heard of that coaster until I have read about it on tpr. I went on it before the beertents, but it did not matter. I call it the drunk coaster as you feel drunk, it is a unique feeling that I actually liked. Maybe with being at Oktoberfest this year it will catch on as I know a lot of Park Presidents go to Oktoberfest to check on new rides. I would not mind seeing these getting popular in the States

For the past couple of days we've been spending time at my favorite theme park resort in Europe... Europa Park! We did a live stream this morning touring around quite a lot of the park. I apologize for the abrupt end of the live stream as we lost the signal going through the Wodan queue...

Awesome Europa tour, Robb! For me, some of the best part of it, was all those different country side streets. So much detail, as well as wonderful landscaping everywhere. And food! So much international food to enjoy, too. I would spend a few days there, easy. Glad you were able to.

Man, I only got to do five-car, one-train Olympia Looping at Cranger Kirmes in August. Seven-car, five-train Olympia Looping at Oktoberfest looks like an entirely different and better experience!
