Mrlittle
So I had found this photos before and totally forgot about them. I was deleting photos on my laptop when I saw them again and thought I share them. Most of the photos are from Magic Kingdom with the exception of one from EPCOT. I mainly wanted to share them because its pretty awesome to see the park. I was only 2 years old so I asked my mother about each photo. I tried to clean up the photos some but they were taken around 29 years ago. Hope you enjoy this blast from the past! Lots of characters No idea what show this was. Edit: Hoop Dee Doo Revue PeopleMover! That's my Uncle and cousins. My brother was driving in this photo Check out that old WDW logo. Parade time Aunt, Uncle and cousins Juggling Rackets? Tom Sawyer area I think this is the fountain near Pirates Dumbo Speedway My brother is in the middle Looks like Frontier area More Dumbo That fashion style was amazing I feel like if I went to this spot today, it would look exactly the same Disney Princesses EPCOT (that's my Mother) Waiting for the Ferry (my father is wearing the teal shirt) This is Me and also the moment I realized I loved Disney! The Great Zo
You haven't changed a bit! Always love seeing old pictures from Disney World. My family has a bunch from around the same time also. Thanks for sharing!
robbalvey
I'm pretty sure this parade unit... Is still around and every once in awhile it makes an appearance somewhere!
Mrlittle
So thanks to Twitter, the second photo was from Hoop Dee Doo Revue show. You haven't changed a bit! Always love seeing old pictures from Disney World. My family has a bunch from around the same time also. Thanks for sharing! Except, I was cute back then. I wish I still had that curly hair. I'm pretty sure this parade unit... Is still around and every once in awhile it makes an appearance somewhere! I bet if Disney could, they would store everything to reuse again. I kind of remember something like it when we went in the early 90's.
coasterbill
This was a lot of fun to look at, mostly because we went around the same time and have very similar pictures. We went to Disney when we were little and honestly our pictures look pretty much the same. We either had those same ridiculous shirts or really similar ones and I'm pretty sure your uncle and my dad went to the same clothing store before the trip. The only difference is that my dad still dresses that way and seems hell-bent on single handedly bringing back the 80's.
tinaalsgirl
Yeah, that castle float is still used in the MK Christmas parade, I believe. I did a little searching, and that float debuted in 1986 for the MK 15th Anniversary Parade! I can't believe it's still around! https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2014/02/step-in-time-marking-15-years-at-magic-kingdom-park/ (you can see a B&W pic of it in the gallery)

pianojohn
No idea what show this was. Edit: Hoop Dee Doo Revue Actually, that show was the Diamond Horseshoe. The theater is still there but sadly the show is not. Hoop Dee Doo is still performed but that is at Pioneer Hall in the Fort Wilderness Campground area. I had seen some tweets responding to the TPR tweet with this TR link saying it was Hoop Dee Doo. I looked up Diamond Horseshoe and now wish they put some kind of show in there. Anyways, thanks all for the comments and glad to see people enjoyed the photos.
adeuce02
I'm pretty sure that float is still used during the Christmas Parade. Also I love that picture of main street with everyone lined up for the parade. No ECV wheelchairs or strollers.
