They're almost identical to the Free Spin restraints, and are very comfortable.

I don't doubt that but do the bars need to jut out that much?

If it greatly reduces any chances of headbanging, why not?

Playland's Castaway Cove has sent us notice confirming that Gale Force is officially open!

Continuing it's tradition of providing park guests and thrill seekers with new rides each year, Playland's Castaway Cove is proud to announce the grand opening of the newest and most highly anticipated roller coaster on the Jersey Shore, GALE FORCE. The GALE FORCE is now open to the public!

Key points to note for the ride are as follows:
  • Ride speed of 64mph
  • Features a triple launch using magnetic stators
  • 125 feet tall
  • Features 7 thrilling elements
  • The ride is 14 tickets or a special $10 pass valid for a single ride (includes 6.875% NJ State sales tax)
  • 48" height requirement
  • Beyond 90 degree drop

Edit - To follow up on my earlier post, I didn't bother checking out the ride today. 60 degrees, overcast, and I didn't feel like fighting the traffic. I'll get to it sometime this summer but a $10 ride isn't worth a trip to OC alone.

Rode it last night. Very fun, rattles a lot but with the vests it was comfortable.
