Strongest/Most forcefull LIM Launch

Postby verticalzero » Fri Mar 03, 2006 8:19 am

What's the strongest LIM launch you have been on, have you grey/blacked out..? :) :).

The only one I have been on is at Walibi World in Holland, the wait is just as intense when you start going forward.

Id have to say Volcano. Pretty strong launch. Didnt make me black out, but caught me off guard. Next strongest launch I would have to say would be Batman and Robin: The Chiller.

My strongest would have to be Speed The Ride at Las Vegas.

I have only been on 4 launch rides and the one that was strongest was at V2 for 1 sec then it was good.

Thunderlooper doesnt use LIMs, it has a weight drop launch system. It shouldnt be possible to black out on a launch either. Blackouts are caused by the blood going from your head and down into your legs. During a launch you are pressed back in your seat, not down, and therefore it shouldnt be possible to experience a blackout during a launch.

The only launched coaster I have ridden is Kanonen, which uses a hydraulic launch system, and I thought it was very intense. Short, but intense.

Good to the last drop

Volcano, that second launch after the the turnaround was a big surprise to me the first time I rode it.

I've only only been on Xpress and Rock 'N' Rollercoaster. Same layout, and pretty much the same launch!

The only launch coasters I've been on have been CP's Wicked Twister, and Rock N Rollercoaster at WDW.

Wicked Twister had a pretty intense launch, but RnRC had one that seemed slightly more intense, but that may have been because it launches mostly in the dark, and it just seems that way.

I would have to say Hyper Sonic XLC. Its launch is in less then 2 seconds and it goes to 80 Mph. Although that isnt a LIM......

But the most intense LIM launch would have to be Volcano also.
