DavidW Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) My computer rebooted without me knowing yesterday, so I wasn't able to watch the captures like I normally would for this update. But from what I can tell, 1 support and 3 pieces of track were installed today. Edited May 7, 2014 by DavidW
rolercstrluvr Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 I can't believe how much they're getting done, I hope to see the batwing done before the new year. I'm most looking forward to seeing the inline roll put up, it just looks odd for an inverted coaster when it's an element from a wingrider.
screaminkid2005 Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 ^Haha why? It's not like it's the first B&M to have an inline roll thats isn't a wing coaster.
rcjp Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 ^They do also use them for flying coasters but, apart from those and wingriders, they use heartline rolls instead of inline ones. But no B&M invert so far had either.
kailisun98 Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Wow, that looks awesome! Definitely need to stop by Kings Island next year.
rolercstrluvr Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 ^Haha why? It's not like it's the first B&M to have an inline roll thats isn't a wing coaster. It's just different to see it on an invert. Looks like half of the batwing is almost complete.
Skramp Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Looks like they might get one half of it done today!!
DavidW Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 (edited) one support and one piece of track installed today Edited May 7, 2014 by DavidW
rolercstrluvr Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 It's looking better and better every day! I agree, this is definitely one sexy coaster.
Midgetman82 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 The drop from the zero-g roll looks sick! Still looking forward to trying it.
firewalk13 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 First part of batwing is being topped off right now!
rolercstrluvr Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Batwing is half done, shouldn't take too much longer to finish the other half.
rcjp Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 ^Apparently they have already been placing a few more supports for the other half as they weren't there in the previous picture.
DavidW Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 (edited) One support and 3 pieces of track installed. First half of the bat wing is complete Edited May 7, 2014 by DavidW
firewalk13 Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I think it's great that the fastest part of the ride will be at the bottom of that bat wing. That close to the terrain, the speed will feel intense (me thinks).
rcjp Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 ^Is it on the bottom of the bawing? I thought it was going to be right after the zero-g. Anyway, this ride will be very interesting given that it will feel like you never lose speed as the only "slower" moments will be after the second loop. So that means full speed nearly all the way!
DavidW Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 (edited) Crew works hard on Sundays too. Four supports and one piece of track installed. Edited May 7, 2014 by DavidW
rcjp Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I was wondering: are they going to move the crane next to the second half of the batwing in order to complete it and then back again to the second loop? Because it looks like all the supports installed on the second half were put in place by the smaller one which doesn't seem to be able to reach the top. Or is it possible that the big crane will reach far enough to install the rest? (it surely doesn't seem like it)

DBru Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Does Shoot the Rapids whip you into inversions like Batman? Well, it did go upside down that one time... My recolection is that it only went 90 degrees. Nope. The boat completely "inverted" onto itself. That statement doesn't even make sense...and if it did, it would be wrong anyway. But I drove by KI today and Banshee looks great from the interstate! The first part of the batwing can be seen quite clearly, which I wasn't expecting.
gerstlaueringvar Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Looking great, just hope that it will surprise us by how forceful it is.
