KingRCT3 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 The park posted a first teaser: Confirmed facts: - Lift - 800m/2600ft long - 33m/108ft high - 100 km/h/62mph (doubt it, more like 90 km/h) - 9 moments of airtime - 4g - No inversion
simon8899 Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Just seeing the facts this could be a contender for the Mega-Lite - but doubt that Mack will do such agressive airtime....
_koppen Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 And now the moment we have been waiting for! It might be cold, but the ride is still going up. Source
DBru Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 It's exciting to see Mack building more and more unique creations. I can't wait to see the layout of this!
oriolat Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 ^Apparently, it will be a clone of The Storm at Etnaland (Italy) minus the final inline. So, essentially, Mack's take on the concept of a megalite. It looks fairly compact and interesting!
matteocrepaldi Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I have been told at IAAPA that it will have a completely different layout than Storm. This will have more airtime! Only the height will be the same.
_koppen Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I have been told at IAAPA that it will have a completely different layout than Storm. This will have more airtime! Only the height will be the same. I was wondering where all the info about the ride being a Storm clone was coming from, but your information is like wonderful music to my ears! Can't wait to see how this turns out.
KingRCT3 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Turn? Someone said turn? Here is one. (Source France 3 via CoastersWorld.fr)
DBru Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 This ride already looks amazing...and all there is is a turn!

_koppen Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 (edited) One thing I really like with Storm is the use of only two supports for the lift. It's strange though, as the track doesn't look that much more beefed up than Intamin's square track. Edited December 25, 2013 by _koppen
_koppen Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 I just discovered on Nigloland's website that this new ride will have a 1,35m height limit, compared to Blue Fire's 1,3m. This new ride might actually have some pretty heavy air time!
KingRCT3 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 New pics of the station. You can also spot the brake run in the background. Source
rcjp Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 The station is looking pretty nice, and so is the rest of the ride. As to the amount of airtime it will provide, I guess we'll just have to wait for the opening.
KingRCT3 Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 More pieces in place. The beginning does look like an Intamin megalite, with the first airtime hill crossing the lift. [/center] Source
rcjp Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 The beginning does look like an Intamin megalite That can only be a good thing!
_koppen Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Even if this won't ride as good as the megalite's, it will look better. I love how the lift only have 2 big supports for it, I305 style. Source
rcjp Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 ^Funny, I was about to post that picture. Very TWISTYYY!
matteocrepaldi Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I'm getting more and more excited about this project! That looks amazing!
GigaG Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 I think I read Nigoland originally wanted a Mega-Lite, but it was too expensive. Could Mack be plainly ripping off the Mega-Lite? By the way, that first hill looks like a Stengel dive.
_koppen Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) ^ The owners of the park loved Piraten, so the ride Will probably be a close copy. The rides cost the same, but there is a lot more upkeeping with the Intamin ride. Since the target audience would not really appreciate the real megalite they went with Mack instead. Also it's not a stengel dive, just a twisted hill. Watch the photos from Far away and you'll see. Edited December 25, 2013 by _koppen
Justice Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Although the Intamin Mega-Lites are fantastic, I never understood what market they were catering for. They are really expensive (cost of coaster and maintenance), too expensive for most small parks and too low capacity for most large parks. I guess Mack took out the high maintenance costs and made a product that is comparable for parks.
