I was also pretty shocked that the drop was as steep as it is. Pleasantly shocked.

I was also glad to see that the brakes didn't start until about 1/2 way down. I was worried we'd get "Kingda Ka'd" but I think there will be quite a nice little pop of airtime coming down the final drop. I can't really think of any coaster that has it's highest drop be right into the final brakes though. I guess TTD?

Can I park my donkey here?

Nice, haha!

This coaster is coming together nicely, I like the steep drop to finish looks like fun start to finish. YOLO.

Magnetic brakes don't really stop the train as abrupt as people think. When the train hits the first set of mag brakes, it's still going to be going at a decent velocity, but slowing down at a gradual rate. If not, there wouldn't be as many sets of brakes on the slowdown as there is!

Today's YOLOcoaster "loop topping off" update comes from David "iloverides" and Gregg "sirclinksalot" - Thanks guys for being at the media event today!

Now some photos....
Today was the loop topping off ceremony for YOLOcoaster! AKA YOLOOP!

Here is one side of the YOLOOP...

And here is the other...

Together they will be welded in holy matrimony by this chuck of metal right here.

Here's what it looked like when we arrived on the scene.

They spelled "YOLOcoaster" wrong.

There goes that hunk of metal!
Viewed 4493 times
It's making it's way to the top...reminding everyone of it's message.
Viewed 4493 times
It's getting there... these things take time, you know?
Viewed 4493 times
Did you know this piece of steel weighs more than your average Toyota Yaris?
Viewed 4493 times
Oh, no! It looks like the crane is in the way! Drama!!! How are they every going to get those two pieces to meet???
Viewed 4493 times
Whew! Thankfully YOLOcoaster track as the ability to pass through solid objects, so that crane was not an issue.
Viewed 4493 times
Hey! Crane guy! What are you drinking on the job??? It goes up here!
Viewed 4493 times
As the worker guy gets ready to position the track he thinks to himself "Hmmm.... leaving it with that missing piece would be way more YOLO."*

*Note - this was actually a quote from Wes, but we liked it, so we worked it into the report.

Almost there!
Viewed 4493 times
Guy on radio to the other guy "Hey your piece matching up? Mine is like 5 inches off..."
Viewed 4493 times
Guy says back "Yeah, man, it fits, you just gotta blow on it and then put the cartridge back in...then it should work."
Viewed 4493 times
This is it...the final moments! Tension is building!
Viewed 4493 times
YOLOOP is in place now!
Viewed 4493 times
"Just gotta tighten things up a bit..."
Viewed 4493 times
Bolts are in place...
Viewed 4493 times
Viewed 4493 times
"All done, time to head back down!"
Viewed 4493 times
And here it is! YOLOcoaster's loop topped off!!! HOORAY!!!! And instead of fireworks to celebrate.... instead of champagne and a heard of monkeys, we have something even BETTER!!! Yes!!! It is....

...David wearing a hard hat! YAY!!!!!
Viewed 4493 times
Oh, and here's track piece S69. That stands for "Sexy 69" (No, it really does! We wouldn't make this stuff up!)
Viewed 4493 times
So now that YOLOOP is done, let's take a quick look around the park...
Viewed 4493 times
They have planted stuff to make the park look pretty.

M&M Stairs are back...

How is Yoloop pronounced? YOLO-oop, or Yo-loop?

Oh and thanks Robb for captioning all our photos! It was fun to come home and see how the final report turned out!
