No, Chuck Norris lives twice.

Chuck Norris dies, Death just hasn't told him yet, he's scared.
We Minnesotans believe going on the coasters in January builds character, especially getting stuck on hills because the gears freeze.
Steel: 1. Tatsu 2. Wild Thing. 3. Cheetah Hunt 4. Goliath 5. Spongebob (MOA)
Wood: 1. Renegade 2. Apocalypse 3. Colossus 4. Gwazi 5. Giant Dipper (Belmont)

Have I mentioned how awesome donkeys are?

Went to the park today for the first time in about 18 months. My kid Morgan has finally hit 54" (slowest growing 10 year old in the world) and it was well past time to hit up some new credits.

I was expecting it to be crowded with spring break, but it wasn't that bad. We got to the still not open parking lot a little after 9:30 (after breaking a land speed record from San Diego). The worst line we waiting in all day was season pass processing. Over an hour. They really need to figure out something better than what they are doing.

I didn't expect everything to be open so early in the season, but everything we went to was. And they were running multiple trains where needed. Load times are still slow compared to other parks, the park is still dirty, but we had a good time.

Rode Tatsu, then Apocalypse, Riddler's, Batman, Green Lantern (ugh), Morgan rode the Flash and Wonder Woman flat rides, then over to Scream, Colossus, late lunch, Goliath, Viper, X2, Ninja, Superman, checked out the in place YOLOcoaster track and Orient back down the hill.

Pretty much the same picture that Greg posted.

This ride legitimately looks like every coaster logo "swoosh" track, made in real life! I hope it rides as good as it look!

Why do I still have a donkey title???

YOLOcoaster Update for March 25. Since Robb is off on the TPR Trip Down Under (the US) I told him I'd take care of this weeks update. I'll try and be mildly entertaining.
2a.jpg
And here we all thought SFMM was getting a YOLOcoaster, in fact they are getting a Vekoma Flyer to replace the remaining flat rides at the park. The ride will be themed to Aquaman's 2nd cousin Mono Lake Dude.
3a.jpg
Standing on top of the flyers loop we can see the coaster formally known as YOLOcoaster.
4a.jpg
Flying off the track at this angle sure would have been fun.
5a.jpg
Apparently this part of YOLOcoaster was going to pull 3.14159265359 G's.
6a.jpg
Mono Lake Dude would like this part.
7a.jpg
Hopefully Coke Freestyle will still be available here in all your favorite Mono Lake Dude flavors.

Station or something.
9a.jpg
Bonzai!!!
10a.jpg
It's like the Top Hat track is mounting the loop track. Kinky Coaster?

YOLO Overview.
15a.jpg
This is where one of the two trains will live 51 1/2 weeks out of the year.
16a.jpg
YOLO Flyover.
17a.jpg
Seriously, the track is pretty low here. Best case scenario is the blue fence moving on the other side of the support.
25a.jpg
Worst case scenario, nets on the bottom of the track.
18a.jpg
Holy Twist Mono Lake Dude!
19a.jpg
YOLO Zoooooom!!!
22a.jpg
This will look pretty awesome once the construction equipment is gone.
23a.jpg
Heading into the "Top" hat.
26a.jpg
YOLO Tower!
20a.jpg
Swoosh the ride?
28a.jpg
Tunnel Vision
29a.jpg
Charlie Brown would be proud.
30a.jpg
Black is so thinning.
31a.jpg
More erections near the station.

After Loop

Into Top hat
34a.jpg
Double the pleasure
35a.jpg
There is a sign telling you what bus to take all the way over there.

See

If you are like 93.2% of other people you will walk to the old pick-up area before seeing this sign.

I think Intamin should make a donkey!

The ride is going up pretty quickly now. It looks like it may be open by Memorial Day weekend judging on the pace Premeir builds their rides.

^^ Greg, thanks for the great picture update. It's starting to take shape! I'm not a big fan of Premier, but this one could change my mind.
