B&M: What was the largest obstacle that your engineers encountered when designing the Wingrider coaster?

To B&M:

You've always been finding new ideas and setting new trends as far as ride styles are concerned as you've revolutionised concepts like the flying and inverted coasters and you've also invented dive machines and currently the latest trend which B&M is at the forefront of is the explosion of winged coasters. Do you think that your development of these revolutionary concepts play a big part in making your company one of the top names in the amusement industry today?

Another one for B&M:

Last year you combined two epic B&M experiences together with the opening of Shambhala at PortAventura, a ride which stands over Dragon Khan, another B&M classic. Do you aim to make your rides compliment each other if the park will let you or is this just where the ride was requested?

B&M: What are the challenges of storytelling with a roller coaster and how does B&M handle them?

B&M Do you have plans to move in to wooden roller coasters

B&M- what is the average profit per coaster?

B&M: With your recent invention of the Wingover Drop found on your wing riders, do you guys think we will see more inversions off the first drops of your coasters (like Drachen Fires old Warparound Corkscrew).

B&M: you haven't built any stand up coaster for quite a long time. Are there any plans to build new ones or have the parks just stopped asking for them?

Another one for B&M: have you ever considered building a hyper/giga coaster that also features inversions or is there some reason why such attempt has not been done yet?

B&M: Are their going to be more Giga coasters? And are Stand Up coasters not in production anymore or are you still thinking of ideas?

2nd question B&M: are staggered seating trains(ex: Diamondback like trains) going to be built on your gigas?

Last one: Have you ever thought of building a looping coaster with your lap bar restrains?

Just one more: As Intamin has been holding the title of record-breaking manufacturer in the last years, haven't you considered building a record-breaking coaster in terms of speed, height or both?

(B&M): Is the Standup Coaster model line still in production?

(B&M): Whatever happened to your signature Predrop? I've noticed that they disappeared from some of your more recent custom projects.

The new hot thing in the business right now is inverting roller coasters with no over the shoulder restraints. Several of your competitors have already come up with their own looping rides with lap bar only restraints; will B&M develop their own lab bar restraint compatible with inverting rides?

Hey everyone!

IAAPA starts up next week and this year we're gonna change things up a bit! Normally, we do interviews with all the major ride companies, and to be honest, most of the interviews from year to year are very similar, because they can't really talk about that much coming up, and we already know about what they've already built.

So this year we're gonna give the opportunity for YOU to ask a question! Here's how it's gonna work....

RULES! (Because we need them!)

1. We'll post to this thread a ride company that we are currently gathering questions for.

2. Ask away! As as much as you want, but EACH QUESTION MUST BE IN A SEPARATE POST!

3. Once we've closed the current question period for one ride manufacturer no more questions may be asked of that ride company.

4. We will pick FIVE questions to ask each of the ride companies from the questions submitted to the forum.

5. Those questions will be asked as part of the interview videos we do on the IAAPA show floor.

6. Anyone who deviates from these rules will be disqualified and their questions will be thrown out.

B&M hyper coasters have lot's of sustained airtime but it's all floater (0 G-force) airtime. Have you ever considered producing a ride with negative G-forces ("ejector")?

(Intamin) Other than the tiered seating on your recent Skyrush, have you ever considered 4 across seating much like ones on the older B&Ms?

Since Intamin is one of few companies out there to design both wood and steel coasters, has it ever been considered to add inversions to wood coasters, but use steel tracks for the inversions? (Like SoB did)

Intamin, are there any plans to build any Mega-Lites in the US anytime soon?

(Intamin) We've seen your company produce many different types of roller coasters, some even exclusive to your company, but have you tried to create a flying coaster before?

(Intamin) Is there any chance of seeing another closed circuit Inverted Impulse coaster, or was Volcano: The Blast Coaster just a one-time prototype?

Intamin: How does the new track shape (Skyrush, I305, Formula Rossa) compare with the traditional box/triangle shape (Cheetah Hunt, Maverick, etc) / Is one design an improvement over the other?
