larrygator
Just like we did for 2011 and 2012 this thread will serve as a place to house a list of "what's new" for 2013 at major amusement parks and links to the announcements. Nrthwnd
^^ Damn, that list looks a-ma-ZING so far, Larry! Makes me think/dream of The Ultimate TPR Tour - going to every single one of those new openings, ha ha. And by that time - Kidtums will have taken over the business from Mom & Dadd. VinTheAttendant
These lists ALWAYS get me pumped for the following year, putting up everything worth getting excited for all on one list. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. On that note, don't forget Six Flags New England's Bonzai Pipeline.
australianalex
For new parks, Wet n Wild Sydney could be added, though I'm not sure if you're including waterparks. You could also add SW7 at Alton Towers to the list, but I assume you're waiting a full announcement from the park first.
_koppen
I thought Sochi Park Adventure land was for 2014?
Hurricane
Sea World Australia has a new attraction opening in 2013, no word on what it is yet... but it's rumored to be a Mack Water Coaster. The teaser the park is providing so far is "The Storm is building, It's going to be a big one: New Attraction coming 2013" www.seaworld.com.au - on the home page if you wait for it to rotate. It's also on the facebook page as well Edited October 5, 2012 by Hurricane
Thunderhead
I have to say, on a slight tangent, I really like how Six Flags Corporate announces their 2013 plans all at once. I wish Cedar Fair would get on board with that.
bravo
... here at Fantasilandia, Chile, will be open a Zamperla Air Race this November. But this information is not released yet, even tho the ride is actually been tested.
larrygator
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll add any of them if I can find pictures or news of the addition online or within park/vendor websites. I'll add waterpark attractions if they are affiliated with an amusement/theme park, but not specific to a waterpark. I do now see on what appear to be a Sochi official site that the opening is being pushed to 2014. Edited October 4, 2012 by larrygator

RCT3Bross
Two points on Europa for me. 1. The Log flume ride at Phantasialand is called Chiapas. 2. The spinning coaster (called d' Wervelwind) is already open. The official opening was last Monday October 1st. The rapid does opens in 2013. Just two little mistakes you made in Europa. larrygator
^OK, thanks. Fixed above and updated the Park Index also to reflect d'wervelwind as open.
better_by_design
Observations: 1) the small number of new coasters being built is a little sad 2) the proportion of wood coasters (or Iron Horse anyways) in the US is very pleasing!
