It's always big front-wheel drive, 1996-2004 GM cars that get messed with like that - Pontiac Grand Prix, Buick Lesabre/Park Avenue/Riviera, Chevrolet Impala, Cadillac Deville; surprisingly I haven't seen any "ghetto-fied" Oldsmobile Auroras yet. I hope it stays that way, because I have a closet love for the Aurora.

As for the Ford thing, I wish they would make the badge larger and actually put it on the grille. You can really tell which "kinetic" Fords were designed mainly for the US (Fusion/Mondeo) and which for Europe (Focus, Escape/Kuga).

That smaller logo is Ford's new marketing philosophy. Their research has shown that people still associate newer Fords with Fix or Repair Daily era. Even their new marketing campaigns just talk about the product and its features but not the brand itself

The pros for European Delivery are that you save 7% on the car and you get to drive your own car all around Europe. There are 12 differant drop off locations, doesn't have to be Munich. I'm going to return to Munich because Oktoberfest starts the weekend after I get there.

The only con is that I won't get my car to California for 8 to 10 weeks. The timing depends on how soon the truck comes to take it to port at Bremerhaven, then how soon the ship leaves for the states. I assume it lands on the East coast then is trucked across the country.

Yeah, that is a great deal. Pickup plus Oktoberfest is definitely a win win situation! Sucks to have to wait 8 to 10 weeks though. I'd be happy to personally deliver it once it reaches our shore though.....even to Fresno...I think.

If I had a lot more time I would take delivery at their High Performance Driving school in South Carolina. They give you a one night stay, dinner and one day at the school in a car similar to the one you are getting for no additional cost. A lot of people do this after the European Delivery then just drive home.

This is probably an opinionated question, but does anyone have any idea why Tesla is only giving media outlets TEN FREAKING MINUTES to come up with a review for their new Model S? Is there something hiding in the bowels of the car that they don't want the media to know about or something?

It is interesting reading on various car forums the different stories people have about other people on the road trying to "challenge" them to racing. Has anyone here experienced any idiots like these, and have any interesting stories? I have no experiences yet, but it's probably inevitable now with my Camaro. The best part will be ignoring them.

Interesting enough, it tends to happen most with "modest" cars like G35s, A4s, etc. Though one guy in a mercedes AMG whatever did rev up at a light next to me once.. at 7 in the freakin morning

.. should have taken him though. Looked up the car's sprint times and realized I probably could have had a shot. Silly Mercedes drivers!

What annoys me more is the people who ride your A$$ when they see that you're, uh, driving swiftly.

The best part is that I pick the car up in Munich. Who knew that it is 7% cheaper to pick the car up in Germany. The money saved will almost pay for our mini Europen vacation.

lol, You know why I know what you are talking about? It's because I watch sci fi on TV. I'm watching the series Stargate Atlantis in the mornings while I exercise. If you haven't seen the show they have what they call a Zero Point Module that powers everything. They all refer to it as a ZPM except for Rodney who is from Canada and he calls it a Zed PM.
