So I skipped through the gay stuff and headed straight for the manly stuff... Kinda glad you stumbled on to the Gumball 3000, appreciate all the pics.

Were you able to find out exactly how smurfs, you know, replicate? Do tell.

I need to do NY with a seasoned professional, for some reason me and that city just don't get along one on one.

This TR has everything for me and my BF...

For him - young men dancing, broadway, piano bars, Ricky Martin.

For me - pizza, beer & random ghetto-ness...love it!

New York City - Day Three (and four)

Today was "Scott's Pizza Tour" and hanging out with TPR friends! Probably the least "gay" day of the trip...although there was quite a bit of gayness today!
(We met Scott's girlfriend...so we know he's not gay...)

Scott's Pizza Tour has become one of our favorite things to do in New York City. So much so that we now included it on TPR trips when in the area! Check out the photos below, and to book a tour, click: http://www.scottspizzatours.com

Image
Currently on Scott's Pizza Tour! Scott's enthusiasm for pizza makes for some amazing expressions!

Image
Here is the location of the first pizzeria in NYC! (Yes, we know it's a bar now...it USED to be a pizza place!)

Image
Our first stop on Scott's Pizza Tour is the famous Lombardi's on Spring & Mott!

Image
Renee loves hanging out with her ultimate best friend in the entire world, Reed!

Image
Hooray! Pizza arrives! It's amazing!!!

Image
Scott can down an entire pie in twenty-seven seconds!

Image
Reed is rockin' the fold (and a rockin' Newsies hat) on Scott's Pizza Tour!

Image
TPR members are "pizza buddies" with Scott!

Image
Elissa got the bonus slice at Lombardi's!

Image
Backstage oven tour at Lombardi's!

Image
What is KidTums drawing?

Image
It's "Scott's Pizza Tour" as seen by a five year old! There's Scott, the pizza, the oven, the peel! Amazing!

Image
This is a perfect, to scale, drawing of Lombardi's pizza oven!

A bonus stop was at this Italian market in Little Italy!

Image
OMG!!! They are making fresh mozzarella! This is like porn for Scott!

This mozzarella was literally JUST MADE!!! (thanks Bob!)

As you can see by this high-tech, full color, electronic LED sign, this is salted mozzarella!

TPR fresh mozzarella huddle!

Image
Our next stop on the tour was actually a factory that makes pizza ovens!

Image
If the pizza oven says "Bari" on it, they built it right here in this room!

Image
Which is more sexy? Scott or the pizza oven? Vote now!

Image
Scott is the most knowledgeable pizza geek ever! He could identify flour bags as we passed by!

Image
If you want an awesome pizza cutter, you need one of these!

Image
"It's a Dexter P177a - GET ONE!!!"

Image
Our next stop on Scott's Pizza Tour... Pizza Box on Bleeker and Macdougal.

Image
OMG! PIzza being made...LIVE!!! This is much better than any show with Liza Minnelli!

Image
Oh, man... This is going to be amazing!

Image
Second date for Reed and Renee! How many to go until he gets to third base???

Image
"THERE'S A BUG ON YOUR PIZZA! LET ME KILL IT WITH MY SUPER AWESOME PIZZA LASER!!!"

Image
"According to my awesome pizza laser - I have killed 918 pizza bugs!"

Image
Renee ditched Reed for pizza! (smart move!)

Getting ready for the first ever TPR cheese pull off contest!

Image
"Ok...pizza in mouth...get ready....PULL!!!"

Image
Fran has a pretty good cheese pull going on!

Image
OMG! Fran has twelve inches! And his cheese pull is nearly thirteen!

Image
Round two of the cheese pull contest. GO!!!

Image
Renee looks slightly jealous of Stacey's cheesiness.

Image
Scott does the cheese pull!

Image
OM NOM NOM!!!

Image
Pizza slice #2 - Low moisture mozzarella, gas fueled deck oven, twelve Minute bake.

Image
Ryan has seven and a half inches!

Image
Renee gets the bonus slice from Scott! Hope she doesn't get cut off!

Image
KidTums loves Scott's Pizza Tour!

Image
"It's time to learn about dough!"

Image
"Dough tossing is just for show... It doesn't really do anything." (And Scott is pretty sexy at it!)

Image
SCOTT!!! DO NOT EAT PIZZA OFF ROBB'S ARM!!! IT'S NOT SANITIZED!!!

Image
Doink!

Image
KidTums is a future pizza chef!

Image
Our last stop was John's Pizzeria... Which was started by a guy who once worked at Lombardi's.

Image
Scott gives us the history of the NY Pizza "family tree."

Image
Is this pizza ready to eat? It IS!!!

Image
Scott serving up TPR members another slice!

Image
Oh, no! Stacey is getting some "tip sag" (Real pizza geek jargon!)

Image
Fran wins the ultimate cheese pull competition with thirteen inches!

Image
Congrats Fraaaaaaaaaan!

Image
But wait!!!! Some random person takes the lead by total surprise with TWENTY SEVEN inches of cheese pull!!!

Image
The TPR girls of New York on Scott's Pizza Tour!

Image
Thank you to Scott for another awesome NYC pizza tour! See you again in July!

Image
Now that we're loaded up on awesome pizza...time for dessert!

Image
Elissa LOVED the cake batter cupcake!

Image
I kinda want to test this out!

Image
Oh, no! The report got gay again! (and Fran got REALLY happy!) ;)

We agree! =)

I wish all buildings in the world could look like this.

Image
KidTums getting some time in a traditional New York City park.

Image
Wheeeeee!

Image
Just in case she forgot her name.

Image
Too easy...

Image
This might end up being the most gay thing we did the entire trip!

Image
Drinking Stella and singing show tunes around a piano! Could it get any gayer??? (Seriously, though, this bar was really fun if you're into theater at all...but it was filled with NYC gay theater snobs!)

Image
Time for beer! (that's not gay....right?)

Image
Elysian Pumpkin Ale. and Coney Island Geektoberfest! Yum!!!

Image
Reed trying really hard to figure out Emoji! LOL!!!

Image
I'm sure Russell will appreciate my alterations here!

Image
Even though this may be the least gay thing we did this trip...it was still pretty gay! ;)

Image
Now THIS is my kind of place!

Image
Everyone needs a crepe at 1:42am!

Image
It's 2:00am and we're having some Sicilian in honor of Elissa!

Image
Our final day in New York City! Trip so far has been a huge success! Newsies, Evita, Scott's Pizza Tour - all awesome!

Image
Hanging out at the Lexington Ave street fair today!

Image
Anyone interested? Maybe we can start a TPR chapter?

Image
WANT!!!!! (had!)

Image
Newsies taking a break from selling papes!

Image
Mmmmmm.... New York City version of DLR's Naples & Epcot's Via Napoli! (Yes, it's the same company!)

Image
Newsies gotta get me shoes cleaned after stepping through Pulitzer's crap!

Image
I'm told this building is full of shoes and tax evasion.

Image
Another NYC cupcake credit for us!

Image
Not as good as Molly's, but still really tasty!

Image
They are like little "cupcake shots!"

Image
Only in America would you need the rule "So not occupy more than one seat."

Image
I think Reed may be taking his love for Newsies a *little* too far!

Image
Was a great trip to New York City! It's one of our favourite places in the world!

Now.... POST YOUR COMMENTS!!!

I am seriously going through depression without another Molly's Cake Batter Cupcake. They don't ship!!! I'm not a big sweets person, heck I'm not a big food person, but that Cake Batter Cupcake was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Going back in July on our NYC Add On Day for sure!!!!

Which tour did you guys do this time? I'm looking into one for a late July trip to NYC and was just wondering what your opinion was on each of the tours (ie. bus vs. walking).

^^This was the crosstown pizza walk, we've also done the bus tour, and a custom tour. All are highly recommended.

I've gone pantless!

Someone opened a good cupcake bakery in Williamsburg, too. This is one food trend I support completely!
