sspaz1000
Great pictures! And I'm guessing that picture of KT and Elissa is significant because Elissa's mom has the same picture of her and a gong Elissa.
cfc
So, would you say that this production of Evita is "sexy" and "seductive," but not "sublime"?
RCFreak
A couple of random thoughts. Pretty sure Bud Light is the "gayest" beer out there. Also throw my hat into the ring that say the picture of Elissa holding KidTums is Elissa's old address. BRUNO! haha oh the Angry Dragon. I'm so very jealous of this trip you guys had! I know the Theater scene is kinda Meh in LA, but it's the best I can do on a budget, so I look forward to it coming out here on tour.
cal1br3tto
...And once again New York City has me speechless. Enjoying the TPR perspective!
robbalvey
The theme park industry celebrity, is that Bruno? DING! DING! DING! WINNER!!!!
robbalvey
I am going to guess that the photo with Elissa and KT is significant because that is where Elissa used to live??? DING! DING! DING! WINNER!!!!
chadster
So I skipped through the gay stuff and headed straight for the manly stuff... Kinda glad you stumbled on to the Gumball 3000, appreciate all the pics. Were you able to find out exactly how smurfs, you know, replicate? Do tell. I need to do NY with a seasoned professional, for some reason me and that city just don't get along one on one.
Philrad71
This TR has everything for me and my BF... For him - young men dancing, broadway, piano bars, Ricky Martin. For me - pizza, beer & random ghetto-ness...love it!
robbalvey
New York City - Day Three (and four) Today was "Scott's Pizza Tour" and hanging out with TPR friends! Probably the least "gay" day of the trip...although there was quite a bit of gayness today! (We met Scott's girlfriend...so we know he's not gay...) Scott's Pizza Tour has become one of our favorite things to do in New York City. So much so that we now included it on TPR trips when in the area! Check out the photos below, and to book a tour, click: http://www.scottspizzatours.com Currently on Scott's Pizza Tour! Scott's enthusiasm for pizza makes for some amazing expressions! Here is the location of the first pizzeria in NYC! (Yes, we know it's a bar now...it USED to be a pizza place!) Our first stop on Scott's Pizza Tour is the famous Lombardi's on Spring & Mott! Renee loves hanging out with her ultimate best friend in the entire world, Reed! Hooray! Pizza arrives! It's amazing!!! Scott can down an entire pie in twenty-seven seconds! Reed is rockin' the fold (and a rockin' Newsies hat) on Scott's Pizza Tour! TPR members are "pizza buddies" with Scott! Elissa got the bonus slice at Lombardi's! Backstage oven tour at Lombardi's! What is KidTums drawing? It's "Scott's Pizza Tour" as seen by a five year old! There's Scott, the pizza, the oven, the peel! Amazing! This is a perfect, to scale, drawing of Lombardi's pizza oven! A bonus stop was at this Italian market in Little Italy! OMG!!! They are making fresh mozzarella! This is like porn for Scott! This mozzarella was literally JUST MADE!!! (thanks Bob!) As you can see by this high-tech, full color, electronic LED sign, this is salted mozzarella! TPR fresh mozzarella huddle! Our next stop on the tour was actually a factory that makes pizza ovens! If the pizza oven says "Bari" on it, they built it right here in this room! Which is more sexy? Scott or the pizza oven? Vote now! Scott is the most knowledgeable pizza geek ever! He could identify flour bags as we passed by! If you want an awesome pizza cutter, you need one of these! "It's a Dexter P177a - GET ONE!!!" Our next stop on Scott's Pizza Tour... Pizza Box on Bleeker and Macdougal. OMG! PIzza being made...LIVE!!! This is much better than any show with Liza Minnelli! Oh, man... This is going to be amazing! Second date for Reed and Renee! How many to go until he gets to third base??? "THERE'S A BUG ON YOUR PIZZA! LET ME KILL IT WITH MY SUPER AWESOME PIZZA LASER!!!" "According to my awesome pizza laser - I have killed 918 pizza bugs!" Renee ditched Reed for pizza! (smart move!) Getting ready for the first ever TPR cheese pull off contest! "Ok...pizza in mouth...get ready....PULL!!!" Fran has a pretty good cheese pull going on! OMG! Fran has twelve inches! And his cheese pull is nearly thirteen! Round two of the cheese pull contest. GO!!! Renee looks slightly jealous of Stacey's cheesiness. Scott does the cheese pull! OM NOM NOM!!! Pizza slice #2 - Low moisture mozzarella, gas fueled deck oven, twelve Minute bake. Ryan has seven and a half inches! Renee gets the bonus slice from Scott! Hope she doesn't get cut off! KidTums loves Scott's Pizza Tour! "It's time to learn about dough!" "Dough tossing is just for show... It doesn't really do anything." (And Scott is pretty sexy at it!) SCOTT!!! DO NOT EAT PIZZA OFF ROBB'S ARM!!! IT'S NOT SANITIZED!!! Doink! KidTums is a future pizza chef! Our last stop was John's Pizzeria... Which was started by a guy who once worked at Lombardi's. Scott gives us the history of the NY Pizza "family tree." Is this pizza ready to eat? It IS!!! Scott serving up TPR members another slice! Oh, no! Stacey is getting some "tip sag" (Real pizza geek jargon!) Fran wins the ultimate cheese pull competition with thirteen inches! Congrats Fraaaaaaaaaan! But wait!!!! Some random person takes the lead by total surprise with TWENTY SEVEN inches of cheese pull!!! The TPR girls of New York on Scott's Pizza Tour! Thank you to Scott for another awesome NYC pizza tour! See you again in July! Now that we're loaded up on awesome pizza...time for dessert! Elissa LOVED the cake batter cupcake! I kinda want to test this out! Oh, no! The report got gay again! (and Fran got REALLY happy!) We agree! I wish all buildings in the world could look like this. KidTums getting some time in a traditional New York City park. Wheeeeee! Just in case she forgot her name. Too easy... This might end up being the most gay thing we did the entire trip! Drinking Stella and singing show tunes around a piano! Could it get any gayer??? (Seriously, though, this bar was really fun if you're into theater at all...but it was filled with NYC gay theater snobs!) Time for beer! (that's not gay....right?) Elysian Pumpkin Ale. and Coney Island Geektoberfest! Yum!!! Reed trying really hard to figure out Emoji! LOL!!! I'm sure Russell will appreciate my alterations here! Even though this may be the least gay thing we did this trip...it was still pretty gay! Now THIS is my kind of place! Everyone needs a crepe at 1:42am! It's 2:00am and we're having some Sicilian in honor of Elissa! Our final day in New York City! Trip so far has been a huge success! Newsies, Evita, Scott's Pizza Tour - all awesome! Hanging out at the Lexington Ave street fair today! Anyone interested? Maybe we can start a TPR chapter? WANT!!!!! (had!) Newsies taking a break from selling papes! Mmmmmm.... New York City version of DLR's Naples & Epcot's Via Napoli! (Yes, it's the same company!) Newsies gotta get me shoes cleaned after stepping through Pulitzer's crap! I'm told this building is full of shoes and tax evasion. Another NYC cupcake credit for us! Not as good as Molly's, but still really tasty! They are like little "cupcake shots!" Only in America would you need the rule "So not occupy more than one seat." I think Reed may be taking his love for Newsies a *little* too far! Was a great trip to New York City! It's one of our favourite places in the world! Now.... POST YOUR COMMENTS!!! JACK KELLY NAKED!!!! Edited May 28, 2012 by robbalvey
SharkTums
I am seriously going through depression without another Molly's Cake Batter Cupcake. They don't ship!!! I'm not a big sweets person, heck I'm not a big food person, but that Cake Batter Cupcake was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Going back in July on our NYC Add On Day for sure!!!! Mr. Starr
Which tour did you guys do this time? I'm looking into one for a late July trip to NYC and was just wondering what your opinion was on each of the tours (ie. bus vs. walking).

SharkTums
^We were actually talking quite a bit about the 'cupcake trend' while in NYC. It does seem like it may be more than a passing trend or fad. It's been several years now and they still seem to be popular. While in the city we ate cupcakes at: Crumbs Magnolia Molly's Melissa's Molly's seriously BLEW me away! bigbill245
Scott is such a wonderful tour guide and I was surprised that any one could be as nerdy as someone from TPR. When he heard the idea for the cheese pull off I have never seen any one get so excited. Edited May 28, 2012 by bigbill245
XtremeCoasterLuvr
GREAT report!!!! I have heard that Elena Roger is not up to standard... HOWEVER, I have heard that Christina DeCicco, the Eva Stand By who performs on WED NIGHTS, and I think Sunday Matinee's now as well, is STELLAR!!! If you are planning on seeing the show, I strongly suggest seeing Christina. It's funny how the Understudy, so many of the times outshines the Lead! disneyfan1313
Seriously going through withdrawals also! I love NYC and this really was the perfect trip. I have to agree with Elissa that Molly's by far outshone the other cupcake options.
