Just a reminder if I reach my goal (200 dollars) I will donate 100 dollars of my own money and if I reach 500 dollars I will die my hair pink for the event anything helps

You know man I love your spirit and all but I kinda think that goal is a bit too high. More power to you if you can make it though!

When a family arrives in Orlando, they are welcomed at the airport by one of our volunteer greeters. Traveling for any family can be overwhelming, so you can imagine how tough it is with a child who may be fragile or who requires medical equipment. Orlando is a pretty hectic airport, so our greeters meet the family and escort them to baggage claim and then to their mode of ground transportation.

Most GKTW families get the use of a rental vehicle for the week and the kids LOVE being told by our partners at National Car Rental that they can pick ANY car in the lot they want—mustang, minivan, convertible, you name it—in any color. If the parents are not old enough to rent a car or just prefer not to drive, MEARS transportation shuttles them around for the week.

GKTW has arrivals and departures each day; today we have 14 families flying in to start the best week of their lives.

Very cool Kara, thanks for all the insight into how the facility works and what all of the money is going towards.

Adam, why would you tell someone their goal is too high!?!?!? The whole idea of a goal is to put something far away but in reach, I have full faith in all of our participants that they'll exceed their goals!

^ yea, I agree there. I probably won't stay on the coaster the entire time. I actually really like Dorney a lot so I want to get on every coaster - especially Stinger because I need the credit. Plus I like their line up of flats - I really can not wait to ride Demon Drop again! I know you'll probably hang with Chris but you guys are more than welcome to join me for the day.

Yeah, I'm thinking Steel Force will be their pick as well.....which is a-ok by me! Dorney is one of my favorites as well, and I've always had a great time there! I'm about 5-ish hours away, so I was actually thinking of heading out Saturday, going to the park later in the day, then just staying a night at one of the hotels across the street. Then I'll be ready to rock and roll for GKTW on Sunday!

I'm really proud of the job our Team Dorney has done so far, and I hope we can keep it up! Also looking forward to meeting all of you out there!

Most likely yes, but I need to get woodstock express, stinger, and I want to ride Demon drop as well. So I'm sure Team TPR will have a good time.

You might want to click my banner and see my goal. It's only been a week and I am almost half way there. Anything is possible. We are all a very supportive group and as you can see we will help each other achieve, and more than likely surpass, our goals. I am confident he will reach his $500 and come next pay check he will have ten dollars coming his way to get him that much closer. Good luck everyone and I know we can all do it. 10k as a group here we come

Since I don't have any roller coaster memorabilia or prizes, and this will be my first TPR associated event and hopefully not the last I have come up with an idea for a prize.....

The first person who makes a $100 donation to my donation page can decide on a good TPR Initiation that I can do at Kings Island and I will have one of the other TPR members take a picture or have my wife take a picture and I will post it here at TPR for all to see, the only guidelines of course would be nothing that would get me kicked out of the park or get me arrested since I'm too pretty and soft to go to the Big House.

*GULP* Ok, I'm at everyone's mercy! Please be gentle

I am feeling a little crazy today, so for every $1 that is donated to my page by 8pm Pacific tonight, I will personally donate $.50 up to $100. I am currently at $55 meaning that if I get to $255 I will donate $100 bringing it up to $355. Thanks for all of the help and support from everyone.
