I wonder if Bobby Bowden is considering un-retiring to try and get a few more wins.....

I've gone pantless!

Dick Tufeld died while watching the NFL Playoffs last Sunday. And who was Dick Tufeld, you may ask? This might jog your memory.

YouTube Videolink

Bob May wore the suit, but Dick Tufeld was the voice of the Robot. He started out doing radio voice work in the late 1940s, then moved on to television and cartoons (working for both Irwin Allen and Disney, as well as for other producers).

My Technical Communications brought this up in class today. Two days ago, Roger Boisjoly passed away. He was the guy who correctly predicted the Challenger disaster in 1986 and tried to prevent the launch.

^ Playing real fast and loose with the term "celebrity" there, but a very interesting read nonetheless.

That article pretty much sums up my exact thoughts on NA$$A.

^Yeah, I was debating to myself whether it had a place or not on this thread, but I know that there are plenty of engineers on the site who might find it interesting. I know I did ;)

Add Whitney Houston to the list. She was only 48, sad.

^Yeah, such a shame she couldn't take care of herself. Even on the off-chance her lifestyle wasn't a factor in her death, it's still sad to have so much and still bring yourself down.
