Should be going to the park on Friday, maybe I'll snap a few pictures. Hopefully it isn't too crowded, but Im kind of expecting it. I don't know if this has been discussed before, but does anyone know why Riptide never has the fountains on so they actually get you wet? For the first few years, you used to get soaked, but now, they aren't even on all of the time. I get it during the "off season", but even during the hot summer days, I haven't seen them soaking the riders. I rode it ONCE while it used to soak you, but I was at the furthest seat to the right, facing Perilous Plunge, and the fountains didn't reach that far. It kinda made the ride more worth getting on, because it isnt a guy-friendly ride. :|

^ I'm not sure why they never do that anymore. Yesterday my feet got wet from riding, which was a surprise. They don't even usually turn on that high.

Fountains were causing issues with the ride. Now they are for show only.

I remember that on Perilous Plunge bridge you would get soaked. Why did they stop you from getting soaked on Perilous Plunge bridge?

^ Because the new boats don't create a big enough splash to reach the bridge like the old boats did.

The new boats caused this.

2nd generation boats:

The scoops on the front of the boats look similar but for some reason the older boats produced a much larger splash.

Just so everyone knows, park hours are 10-9 all week. Lines aren't that bad, however, the new "Fast Lane" system is taking a noticeable hit to the standby efficiency. If you think the 50 dollars is worth it, do it...but standby still isn't horrible.

"We’ve extended park hours so that you can enjoy more coasters, funnel cakes and photos with Snoopy during your trip to Knott’s this week! We are open from 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM today through Friday!"-Just posted on Knott's Facebook page woohoo! Also I am planning on going tomorrow but all of my friends can't go. Just came back from Knott's. I rode Silver Bullet, Riptide, and Jaguar. I only rode 3 rides since I arrived at 3:00 pm and the lines were pretty long. I had fun, nonetheless.
