bkraig4life
Is it just me, but this looks incredible! An I305 crossed with an Expedition g force drop. Airtime hills and a ste.... drop. This is getting very intersesting.

Ccron10
Boy they are flying! So much progress just in a day! What kind of camera do you have? Beautiful quality A Sony Cybershot that's a 9.1 megapixel. I also edited the photos a little as well. I plan on stopping by again tomorrow afternoon before work to see if the next lift support is up. djw44
Yeah I wasn't sure the colors seemed kind of bright. I have a pretty old Canon Powershot 6 Megapixel that is slowing down, the last update was with that. I'm too poor to get another camera though. robbalvey
Did someone really compare this layout to Desert Race? If you wouldn't mind, could you please go punch whoever that was? You're Welcome. Edited December 23, 2011 by robbalvey
xmichellex
This coaster gets sexier by the day.
Ace Of Spades
Did someone really compare this layout to Desert Race? If you wouldn't mind, could you please go punch whoever that was? You're Welcome. From the early top down plans it kinda-sorta looked similar, but obviously that isn't the case. Also, this project just shot up my "things to watch" list after this update, it's looking really cool! odene497
That hill strikes my support fetish in an odd way. I wish they'd just put one more in there. But I guess you don't need much when in that area particularly, the track just needs to be held DOWN. This looks wonderful.
Double0Kevin
I honestly was originally kind of disappointed with the simple figure 8 track layout but now looking at it, it looks like it will be a great ride.
Jew
mmmm...Intamin airtime goodness. Can't wait to see how this turns out!
rollin_n_coastin
It needs to do another Stengel dive through an Ikea showroom. Then, it will be perfection I do really like the colors though and that twistiness!
coasternut
It's amazing how fast the coaster is going up! There must be some special deadline, or they're trying to beat winter. I really can't wait for my summer visit. I saw in one of today's earlier pictures on Comet's lift hill they've got Santa and his sleigh...
Hilltopper39
When the layout pictures of this thing were released with the announcement I wan't terribly impressed, but wow this thing is starting to look incredible! I guess that plot of land is so small that all of the turns and hills have to have really tight transitions, looks like its going to be a great coaster. I saw a concept art for the trains on another website that showed over the should lap bars similar to Dare Devil Dive, should be interesting. Anyone know why Intamin changed they're track structure? I've only seen this track style on Skyrush and Formula Rossa so maybe it has to do with the stresses associated with those two rides, but this track looks like it might actually be a little easier to manufacture than their old style. schrec721
I work here in Hershey and It's amazing what they are putting in such a small area. But it is going to be a wild ride especially for the the winged seats. I CAN'T WAIT!!! Have a great holiday everyone!!!

If you're talking about the double spine, my thinking is that it works in a way so that the ride can stand with less supports. Just look at how that airtime hill seems to float in mid-air. coast4airtime
^I could have some strong ejector air. Look at I305, the supports are pretty far apart on the first and second air time hill. The only reason these look so far apart is because the hill here is much shorter.

UnderCoverDrummer1
Oh no, not the whole "mini Intimidator" thing again. The only way (IMO) Skyrush will resemble Intimidator305 is in the lift and track style. There are obviously going to be intense positive forces at work, which is why the double-spine track is used. If it wasn't, they would have to spend so much more money supporting the thing. As for the layout, this seems to be more like Intamin's previous mega/hyper coasters than anything else, because it all just flows. There really aren't any insane transitions, and the airtime hills are long and exaggerated. I think the layout, including transitions and airtime hills, is going to be a lot quicker and more forceful than you think. Having seen the construction site in person, the amount of space the main part of this coaster is going to take up, its much smaller than the simulation would lead you to believe. At the height this coaster is supposed to be I think we can expect transitions closer to that of I305 than the Intamin mega coasters of old. Especially considering that the first drop goes immediately into a turn unlike every Intamin mega coaster I know that either fully or almost fully pulls out of the first drop before changing direction. Just my two cents. Take 'em or leave 'em. I love that every day more and more people are posting saying that they assumed wrong about this coaster. I totally called it back in September and it's great to finally have people agreeing with me.

robbalvey
Yes, I knew I could count on you HP guys for delivery! Thanks Chris. Looking better and more insane with each update...daily! I still want to say this will be known as one of the best rides in the world...early prediction but I see it. If I had to place my bets on where this ranks versus any of the 2012 B&Ms in next year's steel coaster poll, you can guess where I'm putting my money! Intimidator305
^ Well that depends on if you are betting on the much more accurate Mitch-Hawker Poll or the very biased Golden Ticket Awards... I definitely feel like this will dominate Wild Eagle and Leviathan as far as forces come! SkyRush is looking amazing, I won't be suprised at all if it ends up being in my top-3 as it looks like Intamin has created another winner. Hopefully, I'll get to ride it within the next 2 years and that the ride is intense as it looks like it will be! deguy123
Wow those pictures are great, thanks for sharing them! Can't wait to ride this thing in June! One thing about the construction, are they moving the entrance line for Comet somewhere else? (Maybe switching the exit with the entrance)
QueerRudie
As we get closer and closer to SkyRush's opening day- I suspect that we're going to be in for a few huge (And quite pleasant) surprises coming up. This is for me the most anticipated new coaster for quite a while- and mind you, I'm not an airtime junkie (Like a few people I know...) but even to me this is becoming one of the most dynamic and visually stunning rides built today. Intamin has done their homework, learned from their mistakes of the past, and have come up with a real winner design wise. Nice job Chris & Company providing the 'daily feed' of IntaPorn!
