Went to the mountain today and it was pretty epic. Showed up at 10:45 and was the 12th car in the parking lot. Went over to X and walked straight on to the first row and re-rode it again in the 4th. Then went over to Tatsu and walked straight onto the 1st row then the last row. Some ridiculous whip on the last row. Then to Superman, Apocalypse, Riddler and Green Lantern. There was no wait on any of them. First time I have not had to wait for GL, so obviously I had to go on 3 times. Shits ridiculous is you have the right riders. We spent some time looking at Deja Vu. The whole cobra roll is gone and there is only have the loop left. Moving real quick. Then went to Goliath and Log Jammer. Pretty sweet goodbye to the LJ. The water was real high and everyone was getting soaked. Killed the park in 2 hours. Great time.

Bitch Please!

I have never been to Magic Mountain, but from POV videos Log Jammer looked like a real solid flume. Sad to see it go.

I am really wishing I had been able to get one more ride in on Log Jammer while I was still living out there, it was a great flume ride. Thankfully, they still have one other flume ride to fill the void.....

I prefer to mate with donkeys over humans!

Wow...that's too bad about Log Jammer. I thought it was a solid, fun family flume...but then again I was also a fan of White Water Landing at CP before it was removed. I like Maverick better though and also like STR even though it doesn't quite have the charm that WWL had.

Saddened about Log Jammer

Postby Cooshman » Mon Oct 31, 2011 3:54 pm

I just found out about the closing of Log Jammer. As someone who has been going to Magic Mountain since the early 70s and has many fond memories of going on the Log Jammer (one of the few remaining original attractions), this is really sad news.

While Jet Stream is also an original attraction, Log Jammer is a much better ride (and very scenic too).

Really wish Six Flags would have at least given more notice to the public before closing this classic ride.

Something really good better go in its place...

Don't let this donkey melt you with its laser eyes!

IMO Log Jammer was by far the best non-themed log flume, at least out of the ones ive been on. Just how it was built on the hillside with two large drops and a long overall length. I really wish that I would have gotten one last ride on it but oh well. I sure am excited for what they might possibly have in store for that area.

2 + 2 = donkey!

MiceChat.com | The Happiest Place in Cyberspace...
We just received the following statement from Six Flags Magic Mountain regarding the closure of Log Jammer:

"Log Jammer is being removed for future park expansion. SFMM is always evolving, not one to rest on its laurels. We are sad to see Log Jammer leave, but we are excited about the future plans for the area and know our guests will be too."

Check this Friday's In The Parks for a complete tribute of this classic attraction.
