So... was this already in the works when they decided to move Invertigo? :?r

I'm interested to see how things go on at CGA with JMA Ventures. Their expertise seems to be in ski resorts and and restaurants. Is the park president and the rest of management staying or will someone from JMA move in?

Personally, they should do what it takes to keep the park open. Well, open long enough till I can get my first visit to the park ;)

I am sure that JMA has all kinds of property enhancements in mind ... including ...

Building a new 49er stadium
Building a parking lot for the new 49ers stadium
Building a new hotel for the new 49ers stadium

etc, etc

Wow, this one hit me outta left field ;)

it was pretty obvious what they were up to when they moved invertigo and didn't add anything. Now, can I get a discount on my plat pass for one less park? Yeah yeah, I know the answer to that one. I didn't plan on ever going back anyway so I don't mind that the answer is no.

I've been waiting for this news. This park was doomed. Why Dick didn't just sell it off once they gained ownership is beyond me..

We honestly can not say we didn't see this coming. Some people were in denial but yep here it is. JMA has no good intentions for this park. To quote James Hetfield "Sad but true."

Yep. Nail meet coffin. I'm going to guess that the park will close after the 2012 season, and the 49er's will begin to set up shop after that. I'm also going to guess that in addition to a new 49er's stadium, they'll also turn the land into some sort of entertainment plaza, and that at least the waterpark will stay.

As for Cedar Fair, they couldn't have asked for a better ending to that nightmare

Send Flight Deck to KD or KI first! Preferably KD as it's my home park :p We need a B&M invert. Either way Ill be satisfied as Iong as a B&M is being saved.

^^ Except they are contractually obligated to put the sale proceeds towards their debt and I doubt Cedar point would want any of that crap. Flight Deck might be the only salvageable coaster left.

Now that being said, it does free up capital improvement money, not that CGA was budgeted for any...
