Erik_73 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 (edited) New park for 2012 Fantawild Adventure Theme Park - Xiamen China http://www.whatsonxiamen.com/ent3234.html On 18th August, the deputy mayor of Xiamen came to Tong’an, a northern mainland district of Xiamen, to inspect the progress of the construction of Fantawild, which is a high-tech theme park invested by Shenzhen Huaqiang Holdings Limited, reports Xiamen Evening News. It is said that the preparation work of the first phase of Fantawild is coming to an end, and it will be launched in September and opened next summer. Fantawild is located in the southernmost of Zhongzhou Island surrounded on three sides by rivers. There will be a Fanta Hotel and an industry base specialized in producing interesting facilities on the other side of the river. Most of the projects in the industry base are self-produced and cannot be replicated, according to Huaqiang Holdings Limited. Brief Introduction of Fantawild In the southernmost of Fantawild, there will be a small-sized roller coaster mainly provided for children; and there will be a large-scale roller coaster designed for adults located in the center of the north of Fantawild. It is believed that the roller coaster will be the highest in mainland China, with the highest point 40 meters, in comparison with the roller coaster in Shenzhen Happy Valley. Besides the roller coaster, there will be some more advanced rides, such as Flying Space Shuttle, Speed Windmills, Escaping Dinosaur Island, and Harry Potter, among which some projects will feature Chinese traditional culture such as Uproar in Heaven(大闹天宫) and Nezha Conquers the Dragon King(哪吒闹海). For those film lovers, there will be an IMAX 3D movie theatre and all-round screen movie theatre and some large-scale theatres such as Monkey King, Ghost Stories, and Terra-Cotta Warriors. MOD EDIT: thanks Erik, I broke this off into a separate thread. Edited September 9, 2011 by larrygator
