This was my first time visiting the fair and I have to say I was totally blown away by the sheer size of the Goose Fair! I mean I thought the Leeds Valentine's Fair was big but it's tiny compared to this. There seems to be at least two of every ride in the fair, sometimes even more - I counted three ghost trains and EIGHT dodgems! There were even two spinning wild mice!
The biggest shock to come out of this whole evening was that I actually rode a flat ride!
I know! To be fair it was the most messed up, crazy flat ride I've ever seen. This ride, called "The Roller" was mental - it's kind of like a mesh between a rollercoaster and a top spin. I can't really explain it, but you have to check out videos of this thing if you've never seen one. All in all I was really impressed with the fair. It was pretty rammed with people but never long waits for the rides. There really was a cool atmosphere in the place, not to mention some interesting food options.
