Day 2, part 2
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom

Tonight was MVMCP and it was sold out. The park itself was packed, but I didn't really find myself waiting too long for anything. The lines that I did wait on were for the exclusive party things. There were no waits for any rides! Even though I love the holidays, MVMCP is probably my least favorite of the Magic Kingdom events. But I still had a great time.

Here are the photos, and also a video of the castle lighting, which was one of my favorite parts of this trip. Stay tuned for Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios...

Day 3, part 1
Islands of Adventure

I went over to the Universal area on this day, but returned to Disney for a bit at night. Here's the first part with photos from Islands of Adventure. The park was SO empty compared to Disney. It was great!

Although this isn't a problem in the book or the Chuck Jones cartoon, I'm a bit disturbed by the Whos in the live-action movie and in the park. They look like cherubs morphing into hairless werewolves, or something.

Nay, I have to thank you. One of my coworkers is heading down to WDW with his family for Christmas and wasn't quite sure what to expect, especially since his wife did most of the planning. Showed him this thread and he said "cool" a few times in a relieved tone. Translation, your pictures saved part of a man's sanity. I say part, because he still has a long drive Wednesday night from Huntsville, Alabama to Orlando with 2 kids under 10. Your pics helped him out and gave him an idea of what to expect. Cheers!

Really great Photo TR so far! I really hadn't thought of doing WDW during the holiday season before, but your pictures have certainly changed that. I look forwad to seeing the rest.

Great TR Nay! I liked Grinchmas when we were there a few years ago. It was when the movie version of the Grinch came out.

Did they have the Grinch's lair this year? It was in Seuss Landing and you get a picture with the Grinch at the end of it...for a price. My wife said the Grinch really grabbed her tight during the photo. I think she mentioned something about him being a perv... :lolr:

^"You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch!" Maybe your should've have given Gwendolyn a "39-and-a-half foot" pole to fend him off.

Great pictures, Nay.

Justin, definitely give it a go. Christmas with the family at Disney is second to none.

And I agree, very nice report!
