robbalvey
Every once in a while I get assigned these little "side projects" at work. This time around is was for a funky little flash-game for "The Movies" which is a RTS game by Lionhead (the Black & White guys) where you run your own film studios and can create movies. It's pretty simple. You drag characters and props onto a background, give them some wacky dialogue, then send it onto your friend to make the next frame. Think of it like a "mad libs colorform comic strip!" Here's a complete set of panels that Elissa and I did: http://www.themoviesgame.com/scenemaker/index.php?token=_4CuvZ82303538e_ and here's how you can start your own: http://www.themoviesgame.com/scenemaker/ Give it a try and post the link to your completed SceneMaker movies! Feel free to post the link to SceneMaker anywhere you want to! Here's a couple frames from our game: Edited November 10, 2005 by robbalvey

Angry_Gumball
Weird, yet fun. Kinda reminds me of a "poor-man's Flash." If you know/have Flash, you can create all kinds of weird, random animations. (That's what I use to make my animated avatars)
Token Yankee Guy
OMG! The last scene is hilarious! And then I saw a preview on TV about the game. Teddymonster
I called mine The Great Donkey Caper, but sadly this was only a sick attempt on my part to draw TPR members in, as there are no donkeys in my video. Ironically, there are only women in my movie. Enjoy! http://www.themoviesgame.com/scenemaker/index.php?token=71Y0C22396803_xpW
robbalvey
Only women? No Donkey? Oh, wait, we didn't have a donkey in the game! --Robb

USRoadTripper
Uh, am I the only one having a problem with it sending me emails??? I played with it then quit obviously before it thought I should, and it has now sent me FOUR emails in four hours telling me I need to add more scenes! Not amusing! -Julie
robbalvey
Has anyone received any video game or software spam after registering for SceneMaker? I heard one report that someone did, yet none of the email accounts I created when we were testing has received any spam at all. I'm just trying to see if it was a coincidence or not. --Robb
dandaman
Giggity. Man, that game looks fun! So many possibilities... P.S. Nice furry references
ChrisZer0
Ive been playing the full game and its pretty dang good, Ive been working on a short "trailer" for an 70's grindcore action-horror-comedy(Lots of picked afros, jive, chainsaws and bloody stubbs). One of the cool things with the full game is that you can put in your own VOs and sound effects, and the characters mouth animations will synch up as well.
